Jefferson Morley

Jefferson Morley is an American independent journalist and author. He has written a number of books about American history, particularly the history of the CIA and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Morley grew up in Minneapolis and attended Yale University. [1] He worked for The New Republic , [2] and later as a Washington Post writer for 15 years. [1] [3] He has also written for Salon [4] and The Intercept . [5]

In 2007, he became the national editorial director for the Center for Independent Media. [3] As of 2022, Morley was vice-president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation. [6] He is the editor of the substack blog "JFK Facts". [7] In 2025 he testified at the first hearing of the House Oversight Committee's "Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets". [8]
