1952 Radio adaptation

The play was adapted for a one-hour drama on ABC radio on 8 December 1952. This followed an adaptation the ABC had done for another Tucker stage play, Ralph Rashleigh and the Bushrangers . [4]

ABC Weekly said it "depicts the roguery of the sharper and the bewilderment of the immigrant. His is a supple wit, sharpened by a sardonic humour similar to that which has come to be recognised as characteristically Australian." [5]
