Jens Thomas Arnfred (born 1947) is a Danish architect. He has been external examiner at the School of Architecture since 1981 and Professor of at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, since 1986. [1]

Tegnestuen Vandkunsten a/s, often referred to simply as Vandkunsten, is a Danish architectural firm founded in 1970. Vandkunsten were awarded the Alvar Aalto Medal in 2009 for being a "modern interpretor [sic] and elaborator of Alvar Aalto's ideological heritage". This was the first time that the Alvar Aalto Medal was awarded to a team of architects instead of an individual. Their pioneering and influential work in residential architecture and housing developments has been described as characterized by convertibility, communality, residential involvement, dense-low rise, and sustainable development. The office comprising around 30 designers, is located in Copenhagen, while having completed projects in Scandinavia and other parts of Europe as well.

The Nykredit Architecture Prize is the largest Danish architecture prize. Founded by the Nykredit Foundation, it is awarded annually to a person, or group of people, who have personally, or through their work, made a significant contribution to the building industry in the form of architecture or planning, etc. The recipient receives DKK 500,000, making it one of the largest architecture prizes in the world in terms of prize money.

Morten Arnfred is a Danish film director and screenwriter. His 1983 film Der er et yndigt land was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it won an Honourable Mention. Ten years later, his film The Russian Singer was entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival. He also co-direct the miniseries trilogy Riget with Lars von Trier.

Askov Højskole is a Danish folk high school, that is located in the village of Askov in southern Jutland between Kolding and Esbjerg. It was founded in 1865 as an extension of Denmark's first folk high school, which had been established in 1844 in Rødding by Christian Flor. The first principal of Askov Højskole was Ludvig Schrøder.

Signe Arnfred is a Danish sociologist, feminist and writer who in 1971 became closely involved in Danish feminist activities. A leading figure in the Red Stocking Movement, she organized and participated in meetings and seminars which formed the basis of gender studies in Denmark. In the 1980s. together with her husband she spent four years in Mozambique where she was instrumental in developing a new approach to women in politics. In the late 1980s and early 1990s she was also active in Greenland. Arnfred has published books and articles addressing the place of women in society.
