Jeremy Fischer (born Hosaing Park; February 16, 1976 in Seoul, South Korea) [1] is an American track and field athlete and coach. The son of a Korean woman and an African-American serviceman, he was sent to the US to be adopted rather than suffer the prejudice of being a mixed race child in an Asian country. [2] At 1.75 m (5 ft 8+3⁄4 in), his 2.29 m (7 ft 6 in) clearance in the high jump, in 2000, ranks tied for 14th greatest high jump differential. He is the personal coach of Will Claye, the first person to win Olympic medals in two jumping events at the same Olympics since 1936. [3] [4]
Fischer attended Adolfo Camarillo High School, where was a two sport star also playing basketball. He discovered his ability to jump dunking a basketball in 8th grade. [2] He played attacker on the Blue Thunder with best buddy Andrew. He was the CIF California State Meet champion in the high jump in 1994 [5] after finishing 2nd [6] and 5th the previous years. He also finished second at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships and eventually jumping 7' 4" at the Santa Barbara Easter Relays, which was the 2nd best (behind Maurice Crumby in 1983) for a Californian ever, eighth best nationwide. [7] [8] Later that season he won the US Junior Championship [9] and represented the US at the World Junior Championships [10] though not making the final. [6] Fischer was inducted into the Mt. SAC Relays high school Hall of Fame in 2006. [11]
Fischer continued to the University of Wisconsin, where he achieved All American status. [12] Teams with Fischer as a member placed third in the national championships two years in a row. [13] He made the annual top ten ranking in the US twice, in 7th place both times. [14] Seventh is also the place he achieved in the 2000 Olympic Trials. [15] Later in 2000, he represented the US at the 2000 NACAC Under-25 Championships in Athletics, returning with a silver medal.
Fischer began his coaching career directly out of Wisconsin, first as an administrative assistant at his alma mater, during which they won the Big Ten Triple Crown twice, finished second at the national cross country championships. [16] Next he worked as an assistant coach at California State University, Northridge and then at the University of Oklahoma. [1] He also works with the United States Olympic Training Center.
Darvis "Doc" Darell Patton is a retired American track and field athlete who competed in sprinting events. He is a two-time US Champion in the 200-meter dash and won the silver medal in the event at the 2003 World Championships. He is a three-time Olympian and a four-time participant at the World Athletics Championships.

Marla Lee Runyan is an American track and field athlete, road runner and marathon runner who is legally blind. She is a three-time national champion in the women's 5000 metres. She is also an athlete that competed in both the Paralympics and the Olympics, both reaching the finals.
Tianna Bartoletta is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the long jump and short sprinting events. She is a two-time Olympian with three gold medals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she placed fourth in the 100m race then won her first gold by leading off the world record-setting 4 × 100 m relay team. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she won two more golds, first with a personal best to win the long jump then again leading off the victorious 4 × 100 m relay team.
Hollis Conway is a track and field high jumper and a two-time Olympic medalist. He is currently employed by Lafayette Consolidated Government as the PARC Director in Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory's administration. Conway previously served as the assistant director of Diversity, Leadership, & Education for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team under head coach Billy Napier. Conway was the top-ranked high jumper in the U.S. seven straight years from 1988 to 1994 and in the world for two of those years. Conway, John Thomas and Dwight Stones are the only Americans to win two Olympic medals in the high jump.
Jeanette Bolden is an American Olympic athlete who formerly competed in the 100 metres. She was the head coach of the track and field team at the University of Central Florida. She is the co-owner of the 27th Street Bakery in Los Angeles, which is best known for the sweet potato, pecan and sweet potato pecan pies.
Queen Quedith Claye née Harrison is an American hurdler and sprinter who competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She was a six-time collegiate All-American at Virginia Tech where she was elected to its sports hall of fame. Queen is a meet director for Virginia's Best Track and Field Classic - VHSL meet hosted in Richmond, Virginia started in 2017.
Milan Tiff is an American track and field athlete. He is best known for his triple jumping, but his skills pass through several arenas. He was the bronze medalist in the 1975 Pan American Games. At the Pan Am Games, his name shows the additional name of Abdul Rahman, and in the 1976 Olympic Trials and 1976-1977 National Championships he used the name Caleb Abdul Rahman but he has not gone by that name in other competitions since that period in time. In 1978 he used Milan Tiff in the National Championships. Tiff was an elite black athlete at UCLA at the same time as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, in an era when converting to Islam was happening. By 1980, he was a favorite to win the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow before the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott.

Will Claye is an American track and field athlete of Sierra Leonean descent who competes in the long jump and triple jump. He won a bronze medal in 2011 World Championships in Athletics and the gold medals at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships and 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships. In his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Claye won a bronze medal in long jump and a silver medal in triple jump. He repeated his silver medal in the triple jump four years later. His personal best of 18.14 m, set at the Jim Bush Southern California USATF Championships in Long Beach on June 29, 2019, ranks him as the No. 3 triple jumper of all time.
Martha Rae Watson is a retired American track and field athlete. She qualified for four Olympics, 1964–1976 in the long jump, but also was a fast enough sprinter to be on two United States 4 x 100 metres relay teams. She picked up the individual silver medal in the long jump and the gold in the 4 x 100 relay at the 1975 Pan American Games. She was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1987.
Chris Carter is an American track and field athlete who competes in the triple jump. He has a personal record of 17.15 m for the event, set in 2014. He was the 2014 USA Indoor Champion in the triple jump.
Marquis Dendy is an American track and field athlete, primarily known for horizontal jumping events. He is the 2015 National Champion in the Long jump. His winning jump, of 8.68 m, though wind aided at +3.7mps, his first jump of the competition, was the longest jump in the world under any conditions in over 5 years. Michael Hartfield is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the long jump. He holds a personal best of 8.34 m for the event, set in 2016. He competed in the 2016 Olympics for Team USA in the long jump.
Jarrion Lawson is an American sprinter and long jumper. He placed third in the men's long jump at the 2012 World Junior Championships. Competing for the Arkansas Razorbacks, he won five individual NCAA championship titles and one relay title between 2014 and 2016; he won three events at the 2016 NCAA outdoor championships, a triple previously accomplished only by Jesse Owens.

Ricky Robertson earned 10 NCAA Division I All-American awards and 14 Southeastern Conference all conference awards as an Ole Miss Rebel.
