Jeremy Lomas is a New Zealand sailor who has been involved in multiple America's Cups.

Lomas sailed on Merit Cup during the 1997–98 Whitbread Round the World Race.

He joined Team New Zealand before their 2000 America's Cup defence and worked as a bowman. He stayed with the team and was a part of their 2003, 2007 and 2013 campaigns. He also sailed in the Extreme Sailing Series for Team New Zealand. [1]

Lomas left Team New Zealand in 2015 and later followed Dean Barker to SoftBank Team Japan and sailed for Japan during the 2017 America's Cup. [2] [3] [4] [5]

He has also competed in the Kenwood Cup, Admiral's Cup, the Fastnet Race and the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. [6]

Roderick Hopkins "Rod" Davis is a former competitive sailor who won Olympic medals for two countries. The 6th Louis Vuitton Cup was held in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2003. The winner, Alinghi, went on to challenge for and win the 2003 America's Cup.

The Louis Vuitton Trophy Auckland was the second in a scheduled series of regattas that compete for the Louis Vuitton Trophy. The regatta was held in Auckland between 7–21 March 2010. The Louis Vuitton Trophy format uses existing International America's Cup Class yachts loaned to the regatta by various America's Cup racing syndicates, keeping costs low for the competing teams.

The 2017 Louis Vuitton Challenger's Trophy was a sailing competition held to determine the challenger in the 2017 America's Cup. The races ran from 5 to 12 June 2017 in Bermuda and were preceded by the 2015–16 America's Cup World Series. It was won by Emirates Team New Zealand who defeated Artemis Racing in the final. The races were conducted using AC50 yachts, a new class of 50 feet (15 m) hydrofoiling wingsail catamarans, larger than the AC45F yachts used in the world series and smaller than the AC72 yachts used in 2013. Emirates Team New Zealand went on to compete with defending champions Oracle Team USA in the 2017 America's Cup match.

His career as a professional sailor has lasted over 23 years including 16 years in the Team New Zealand fulfilling a variety of roles like helmsman, designer, strategist and even as the coach of the New Zealand team.
