Jerod Kruse is an American football coach. He currently serves at the Associate Head Coach at Olathe West HS in Olathe KS while also doing advance game plan consulting in the National Football League (NFL). He was previously a co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Florida International University under head coach Butch Davis. He also has served as the safeties and assistant defensive backs coach for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL). Kruse was the head football coach at William Jewell College from 2010 to 2014 Jerod was also and assistant coach at Emporia State University, Baker University, and Southeastern Louisiana University.

Education

Between 1993 and 1996, Kruse played high school football and basketball for Marysville High School. [1] He attended Coffeyville Community College after high school and earned an undergraduate and graduate degree from Emporia State University while playing football. [2]

Coaching career

From 2001 to 2006 Kruse was the secondary coach for Emporia State football program, and in 2007 Kruse was then the secondary coach for Baker University, [3] in addition to serving as the university’s sports information director. [4] Between 2008 and 2015, Kruse worked with Gregg Williams during the summer periods as a guest coach in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints and the St. Louis Rams. [1] [5] [6] From 2010 to 2014, Kruse was the head football coach at William Jewell College (leading their transition from the NAIA to the NCAA Div II level). In 2014, he was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year. [6] [7]

In 2015, Kruse was the associate head coach and special teams coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana University. [1] In 2016, Kruse then worked as the defensive coordinator at Lee's Summit West High School in Lee's Summit, Missouri. [1] In 2017 Kruse joined Williams full time with the Cleveland Browns, serving as the safeties and assistant defensive backs coach. [1] In this role he has also been involved with coaching the team's special teams. [8]

Romeo Crennel is a former American football coach, who was the senior advisor for football performance for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). A former long-time coaching assistant to Bill Parcells, Crennel served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2005 to 2008 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, as well an assistant coach for six NFL teams and four collegiate teams. He has over 50 years of coaching experience, which has included consistently being employed as a coach for all but two seasons since 1970, only taking the 2009 and 2013 seasons off following both of his tenures as a permanent head coach. He has five Super Bowl wins as assistant coach, two with the New York Giants and three with the New England Patriots.

Carl William Torbush Jr. is former American football and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Louisiana Tech University in 1987, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 2000, and East Tennessee State University (ETSU) from 2013 to 2017, compiling a career college football record of 31–48. Torbush was also the head baseball coach at Southeastern Louisiana University from 1977 to 1979, tallying a mark of 75–58. On December 8, 2017, Torbush announced his retirement from coaching.

Charles Evans Bresnahan is an American football coach and former player. He is the Defensive Line and Outside Linebackers coach for the Vegas Vipers. He was the defensive coordinator of the Oakland Raiders on two occasions and the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL) as well as the Florida Tuskers and Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League (UFL). He also served as defensive coordinator in the college ranks at the University of Central Florida, University of South Florida and University of Maine. Bresnahan also served as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts of the NFL and the United States Naval Academy (Navy) and the Georgia Institute of Technology in the college ranks. Bresnahan also assisted in the Officiating Department of the NFL for 3 seasons. He is the son of Tom Bresnahan, a long time NFL assistant and Offensive Coordinator who coached 4 Super Bowls under Marv Levy (HOF-2001) with the Buffalo Bills.

Shawn Mennenga is an American football coach. He was the special teams coordinator for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League from 2019 to 2020. since 2019. After beginning his NFL coaching career with the Cleveland Browns in 2011 under Pat Shurmur after years of college coaching experience. During 2018 Shawn became the special teams coordinator for Vanderbilt before ultimately returning to the NFL.

Jarren Horton is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Pittsburgh Maulers of the United States Football League (USFL).
