Jerry Krupinski is a Democratic politician who formerly served in the Ohio House of Representatives. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, Krupinski initially was elected to the Ohio House following the retirement of longtime Representative Arthur Bowers in 1986.
By 1990, he was serving as the chairman of the House Public Utilities Committee, [2] a capacity he would serve in until Democrats lost the majority in 1994.
With term limits enacted in 1992, Krupinski was unable to run for another term in 2000. However, his wife, Eileen Krupinski, entered the race to succeed him, and ultimately won. [3] In all Krupinski served fourteen years, or seven full terms, as a state representative.
In 2004, Krupinski was mentioned as a potential successor to term limited Senator Greg DiDonato, [4] He entered a primary race for the seat, but ultimately lost to Charlie Wilson, who would go on to win the general election. He also ran against John Domenick for his former Ohio House seat in 2008, however lost that primary also. [5]
He has since remained retired in the Steubenville area.
James Anthony Traficant Jr. was a Democratic, and later independent, politician and member of the United States House of Representatives from Ohio. He represented the 17th Congressional District, which centered on his hometown of Youngstown and included parts of three counties in northeast Ohio's Mahoning Valley. He was expelled from the House after being convicted of 10 felony counts including taking bribes, filing false tax returns, racketeering, and forcing his Congressional staff to perform chores at his farm in Ohio and houseboat in Washington, D.C. He was sentenced to prison and released on September 2, 2009, after serving a seven-year sentence.

She won, and was seated on January 3, 2001 in the seat formerly held by her husband.

A former school teacher from Ironton, Ohio, Collins initially ran for the Ohio House of Representatives, winning a seat in 1946, and was reelected in 1948. He opted to move to the Ohio Senate in 1950, winning a seat to represent much of Appalachian Ohio. He won reelection in 1952, 1954, and 1956.

Born in Dayton, Weisenborn was a journalist by trade for the Journal Herald, a prominent Dayton newspaper. She was initially elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1952 and served seven consecutive terms in the House. In 1966, Weisenborn was elected to the Ohio Senate, following the Voting Rights Act of 1965. She was reelected to a second term in 1970.
Louis "Lou" Gentile is an American politician formerly serving as the senator for the 30th District of the Ohio Senate. He was also previously a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving briefly in 2011 prior to his appointment to the Senate. His district is one of the largest in Ohio, stretching from Carrollton, Ohio to Athens, Ohio and encompassing much of the Ohio Valley. Gentile served as Assistant Minority Whip in the Ohio Senate. He is a Democrat. Gentile lost his 2016 Senate re-election bid to Frank Hoagland.
Michael J. O'Brien is the Representative of the 64th district of the Ohio House of Representatives. O'Brien is a lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley and graduate from John F. Kennedy High School as well as Youngstown State University. O'Brien served on Warren City Council from 1983 to 1993 before being elected as a Trumbull County Commissioner in 1994. He served as a commissioner for ten years before being elected Mayor of Warren in 2005, serving until 2012. O'Brien announced in early 2014 that he would seek a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives to replace Tom Letson who was term-limited. He would win a three-way primary race with 60% of the vote for the Democratic nomination. He faced former Republican state Representative Randy Law in the general election, in what became a very tight race. He defeated Law 49%-44% to take the seat. His district includes half of Trumbull County and the southern portion of Ashtabula County.
