Jessica Middleton (born 1988, in Wichita, Kansas) is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division. She notably competed in Bellator MMA, and first gained recognition after video of her winning via a spinning back-fist at an amateur fight in 2014 went viral. [2]
Middleton competed as an amateur from 2014 to 2016, compiling a record of 3-2.
Middleton began her professional MMA career with Bellator MMA. She made her promotional debut at Bellator 159 on July 22, 2016 defeating Bruna Ellen by unanimous decision. [3]
In her second fight under the Bellator MMA banner, Middleton faced Alice Yauger at Bellator 171 on January 27, 2017. Middleton won the fight via unanimous decision. [4]
Middleton's next fight would come against future Bellator women's flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 178 on April 21, 2017. Middleton lost the fight via submission (arm-bar). [5]
Stepping in on short notice [6] Middleton would face future title-challenger Emily Ducote at Bellator 181 on July 14, 2017, losing a unanimous decision. [7]
Middleton's final Bellator MMA fight would come against Bellator Kickboxing champion Denise Kielholtz at Bellator 188. Middleton lost the fight when she was submitted in the first round.
