Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) (English: New Basketball Brazil) is the Brazilian premier professional men's basketball league. It is organized by the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB) (National Basketball League), in a new format of Brazil's previous top-tier level basketball competition, the Campeonato Brasileiro de Basquete (Brazilian Basketball Championship). The NBB is managed by the Brazilian basketball associations, which were founding members of the LNB.

David Wayne Jackson Jr. is an American professional basketball player for Minas of Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). A 6 ft 3 in tall combo guard, he played high school basketball in Maryland and North Carolina and attended Gulf Coast Community College in Florida after he failed to academically qualify to play Division I basketball. After two years at Gulf Coast, Jackson transferred to Penn State, where he played his last two years of eligibility. After going undrafted in the 2007 NBA draft he started his professional career in Uruguay with Defensor Sporting. He has earned several accolades while playing in South America, including two MVP awards, multiple all-star selections and an LNB scoring title in 2010. Jackson won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in 2023 and was named the tournament MVP.

Márcio Henrique da Costa Santos, also known mononymously as Márcio, is a Brazilian basketball player who plays for Franca. Márcio is a 2.04 m tall center. He won the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup with Franca, and was their top scorer of the final. Márcio is a three-time NBB All-Star.
