Jibon Jontrona is an unreleased Bangladeshi film directed by Zahid Hossain and Khurshed Alam Khosro and produced by under the banner of TOT Films, it is based on the story of the Bangladesh Liberation War. [1] This film depicts the real-life role of sex workers during the Liberation War, and is based on the story of sex workers' participation in the Liberation War. It is based on the incident where sex workers risked their lives to help the freedom fighters during the Liberation War of Bangladesh and fought the Liberation War. [2] The shooting of the film began about 13 years ago, but the film was supposed to be released in 2017, almost 13 years after the death of the late Manna. [3] [4] However , the film was not released due to objections from the censors to the name Lila Monthon. After that, the name was changed and submitted to the censors again under the name Jibon Jontrona, and it is receiving clearance from the censors. [5] [6] [7]

Manna died prematurely with 15 percent of the film's shooting remaining. Then, in 2011, the director used Manna's dummy shots to complete the film and submitted it to the censors under the name Lila Monthon. However, due to the censors' objections to the name Lila Monthon, the film was delayed for several days. After that, the name was changed and the film was submitted to the censors under the name Jibon Jontrona, and after receiving clearance from the censors, it was released. [10]

The film was scheduled to be released on Independence Day, March 26, 2015. But the film was not released due to lack of clearance from the censor board. [8]

The film was scheduled to be released in theaters on March 26, 2022, 17 years after shooting began, but it was not released. [12] The last film starring by famous actor of late Manna's Jibon Jontrona. Although it was planned several times to the release, but it was postponed. Also the producer Khorshed Alam Khosru, had planned to release the film on 15 December 2023 but It has not yet released on theaters. [13]
