Jim Jiminee were an English indie pop band active in the late 1980s.
Jim Jiminee were founded in September 1986, releasing their first EP, Do It on Thursday in 1987 on Cat & Mouse Records. During the next three years, they would release a further LP and two EPs, while playing gigs at various locations throughout England.
They officially disbanded in 1989, where various band members went on to other projects.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, several full-length CDs were released by Vinyl Japan, featuring re-releases and previously unreleased material, including a full-length album, The Thatcher Years.
Kevin and Lindsay Jamieson and Nick Hannan went on to form The Deep Season, and later produced and provided backing for Perry Rose's album The Bright Ring of the Day.
Nick Hannan joined his brother Patrick "Patch" Hannan at his production studio, Blah Street Studio. Patch played drums for The Sundays, Star 69, theaudience and Arnold. While there, Nick appeared on numerous albums for a variety of artists, including Arnold, Jack Henderson and Bennet.
Delphi Newman and guitarist Paul Greendale formed the band World Without Tigers in 1998. In 2002, she sang on Mark Flanagan's album The Chosen Few.
Pitchshifter are an English industrial rock band from Nottingham, formed in 1989. The band was started by lead guitarist and programmer Johnny A. Carter, and bassist and vocalist Mark Clayden. The band's early material was characterized for its gritty industrial metal sound with downtuned guitars and the use of drum machines, and has been cited as one of the originators of the genre along with Godflesh. With later albums the group's music became increasingly more melodic and strongly influenced by nu metal and drum and bass; particularly evident of their 1998 release www.pitchshifter.com, which has been compared with groups like The Prodigy.
My Bloody Valentine are an Irish-English alternative rock band formed in Dublin in 1983 and consisting since 1987 of founding members Kevin Shields and Colm Ó Cíosóig, with Bilinda Butcher and Debbie Googe (bass). Their work is characterized by distorted guitar textures, subdued androgynous vocals, and unorthodox production techniques. They are widely cited as a pioneering act in the shoegaze genre.

Dirty Rotten Imbeciles is an American crossover thrash band that formed in Houston, Texas in 1982 and would later relocate to San Francisco, California. Magic Dirt is an Australian rock band, which formed in 1991 in Geelong, Victoria, with Daniel Herring on guitar, Adam Robertson on drums, Adalita Srsen on vocals and guitar, and Dean Turner on bass guitar. Initially forming an alternative underground band called Deer Bubbles which split and formed into the much heavier, rock based group called The Jim Jims, they were renamed as Magic Dirt. Their top 40 releases on the ARIA Albums Chart are Friends in Danger (1996), What Are Rock Stars Doing Today (2000), Tough Love (2003) and Snow White (2005). They have received nine ARIA Music Award nominations including four at the ARIA Music Awards of 1995 for Life Was Better – their second extended play. Turner died in August 2009 of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. From 2010 to November 2018, the band were on hiatus.
