Jimmy Maher was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Boherlahan and was a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county team in the 1940s. Maher won two Munster winners' medals with Tipp in 1941 and 1945, as well as a single All-Ireland winners' medal in 1945. [1]

Lorrha–Dorrha GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the parish of "Lorrha & Dorrha". The club is most famous for Hurling Team of the Millennium goalkeeper Tony Reddin, who played with the club from 1947 to 1957. Ken Hogan, who is a former manager and goalkeeper of Tipperary GAA, also played with Lorrha as did the heroes of the 1971 All-Ireland Championship team, Liam King and Noel Lane. Patrick "Pa" Bourke is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Thurles Sarsfields and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team.

John Maher was an Irish hurler. At club level he played for Thurles Sarsfields, captaining the club on a number of occasions, and was the captain of the Tipperary senior hurling team that won the 1945 All-Ireland Championship.

Brendan Maher is an Irish hurler who plays for club side Borris–Ileigh and previously at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. Regarded as one of the great talents of his generation, Maher enjoyed a 13-season career with the Tipperary senior hurling team, won three All-Stars and was a Hurler of the Year nominee in 2010. He won eight major trophies in his inter-county career, comprising three All-Ireland Championships, captaining the team in 2016, and five Munster Championships.
