Romancham (transl. Goosebump) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language comedy horror film directed by Jithu Madhavan in his directorial debut and produced by Johnpaul George, Girish Gangadharan and Joby George under the banner of Guppy Films and Johnpaul George Productions. Based on a real life incident faced by the director and his friends during their college days, the film stars Soubin Shahir, Arjun Ashokan, Sajin Gopu, Siju Sunny, Abin Bino, Anantharaman Ajay and Afsal P.H. Set in Bangalore, the plot revolves around seven unmarried men and their usage of an Ouija board, which leads to various subsequent events. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Sanu Thahir and Kiran Das.
Sajin Gopu is an Indian film actor who works in Malayalam cinema. Hailing from Aluva, he made his acting debut in the 2015 film Mumbai Taxi in a minor role. Gopu first made his breakthrough with Churuli in 2021, and later that year with Jan.E.Man as well as the sleeper hit Romancham in 2023.
Aavesham (transl. Excitement) is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film written and directed by Jithu Madhavan. The film is produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed under Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. It stars Fahadh Faasil, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, Sajin Gopu, Midhutty and Mansoor Ali Khan. The film follows three youngsters in Bangalore who befriends a local gangster for him to help them take revenge on their school bully.
Aavesham is the soundtrack to the 2024 film of the same name directed by Jithu Madhavan starring Fahadh Faasil. The soundtrack consisted of nine songs composed by Sushin Shyam with lyrics primarily written by Vinayak Sasikumar. The album was released by Think Music on 19 April 2024.
Kapkapiii is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language horror-comedy film directed by Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Jayesh Patel. The film starring Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Siddhi Idnani among others is a remake of the 2023 Malayalam film Romancham. The adapted screenplay is written by Kumar Priyadarshi and Saurabh Anand. The film was slated for a June 2024 release, but is seemingly pushed due to the untimely demise of director Sangeeth Sivan during post-production.
