Alan Minter is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1972 to 1981. He held the undisputed middleweight title in 1980, having previously held the British middleweight from 1975 to 1976, and the European middleweight title twice between 1977 and 1979. As an amateur, Minter won a bronze medal in the light-middleweight division at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
Michael Spinks is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1988. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the undisputed light heavyweight title from 1983 to 1985, and the lineal heavyweight title from 1985 to 1988. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Leon Spinks is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1995. In only his eighth professional fight, he won the undisputed heavyweight championship in 1978 after defeating Muhammad Ali in a split decision, in what was considered one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Spinks was later stripped of the WBC title for facing Ali in an unapproved rematch seven months later, which he lost by unanimous decision.
Tony Craig Tucker is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1980 to 1998. He won the IBF heavyweight title in 1987, and was the shortest-reigning world heavyweight champion, at 64 days. In an interview to Barry Tompkins, he referred to himself as to the "invisible champion," due to the press and general public largely neglecting him. He is best known for giving Mike Tyson in his prime a relatively close fight, in which he, in words of Larry Merchant, "rocked Tyson in the first round," but Mike managed to withstand pressure and won the decision. As an amateur, he won the 1979 United States national championships, the 1979 World Cup, and a gold medal at the 1979 Pan American Games, all in the light heavyweight division.

Sixto Soria Savigne is a Cuban boxer, who won the silver medal in the men's Light Heavyweight (81 kg) category at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. As the top favourite he lost in a close fight to Leon Spinks of USA. Two years later he captured the world title at the second World Championships in Belgrade. He lost in the quarter-finals of the 1979 Pan American Games to American Tony Tucker.

Herbert Bauch is a retired boxer, who represented East Germany at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union. Gualberto Mauro Cía Montañero is a retired boxer and actor from Argentina. He was born in Buenos Aires. At the age of 29, when he was an assistant officer at the Argentine Federal Police, Cía qualified for the 1948 Summer Olympics held in London, United Kingdom in the light heavyweight classification. In a campaign marked by increasing injuries, Cía managed to attain the bronze medal despite the coaching staff not wanting to clear him for the third-place match, as he had two swollen black eyes, cuts in the cheeks and eyebrows, and a right hand so swollen the boxing glove did not fit. Afterwards, Cía had no interest in becoming a professional boxer, retiring to take care of his sick mother while also becoming a sparring partner for Archie Moore. After a brief acting career in the boxing-themed films Su última pelea (1949), Diez segundos (1949) and Nace un campeón (1952), Cía unsuccessfully attempted to qualify for the 1956 Summer Olympics
