Joan Pilsbury Alcock FSA is an archeologist and historian and an Honorary Fellow of London South Bank University. She was elected as a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London on 3rd March 1977, [1] and is a member of the Guild of Food Writers. [2]

She was principal lecturer at the School of Hospitality, Food and Product Management, now the School of Applied Sciences, at London South Bank University. [3] [4] As of 2003, she had become an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the same institution. [2]

Michael Gordon Fulford, CBE, FBA, is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Reading, He studied Archaeology and Latin at Southampton University, where he was also awarded a doctorate. Between 1971 and 1974, he was employed as the personal research assistant of Professor Sir Barry Cunliffe and was afterwards appointed lecturer and later also reader at the University of Reading. He received a personal professorship in 1988 and became professor of the Chair of Archaeology at the university when it was established in 1993. He has also been Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (1998–2004).

Aileen Mary Fox, Lady Fox, FSA, was an English archaeologist. She specialised in the archaeology of South West England, notably excavating the Roman legionary fortress in Exeter in Devon after World War II.

Leslie Alcock OBE FRSE was Professor of Archaeology at the University of Glasgow, and one of the leading archaeologists of Early Mediaeval Britain. His major excavations included Dinas Powys hill fort in Wales, Cadbury Castle in Somerset and a series of major hillforts in Scotland.

Miranda Jane Aldhouse-Green, is a British archaeologist and academic. She was Professor of Archaeology at Cardiff University from 2006 to 2013. Until about 2000 she published as Miranda Green or Miranda J. Green.

Plant cream

Plant cream is certain plant material ground into a thick liquid, to which gums are added to create a fluid substance resembling dairy cream found in mammalian milk. Common varieties are soy cream and coconut cream. It can also be made from cashews. It is used as a dessert topping and in many other dishes and beverages, as it adds a favorable smooth mouthfeel.

Richard John Bradley, is a British archaeologist and academic. He specialises in the study of European prehistory, and in particular Prehistoric Britain. From 1987 to 2013, he was Professor of Archaeology at the University of Reading; he is now Emeritus Professor. He is also the author of a number of books on the subject of archaeology and prehistory.

John Joseph Wilkes, is a British archaeologist and academic. He is Emeritus Yates Professor of Greek and Roman Archaeology at University College London.

Dame Rosemary Jean Cramp, is a British archaeologist and academic specialising in the Anglo-Saxons. She was the first female professor appointed at Durham University and was Professor of Archaeology from 1971 to 1990. She served as President of the Society of Antiquaries of London from 2001 to 2004.

Margerie Venables Taylor was an archaeologist and editor of the Journal of Roman Studies, and held posts including Secretary for the Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies. She was particularly instrumental in recording excavations in Roman Britain.

Anne Strachan Robertson FRSE FSA FSA Scot FMA FNA was a Scottish archaeologist, numismatist and writer, who was Professor of Roman Archaeology at the University of Glasgow and Keeper of the Cultural Collections and of the Hunterian Coin Cabinet at the Hunterian Museum. She was recognised by her research regarding Roman Imperial coins and as "a living link with the pioneers of archaeological research".

Joan Eileen Annie Liversidge FSA was an English archaeologist who specialised in Roman Britain.

Penelope 'Pim' Allison academic archaeologist specialising the Roman Empire and since 2015 has been professor of archaeology at the University of Leicester. She is also a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.
