Joaquin Churchill Martinez (born 17 October 2002) is a Chilean taekwondo practitioner. He was a silver medalist at the 2023 Pan American Games and competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
He is from Puente Alto. He started taekwondo at the age of nine-years old. He is a member of Areté Sports Club and studied Physical Education at Andrés Bello University. [2] [3]
He won bronze in the 74kg category at the 2021 Pan American Taekwondo Championships in Cancún, Mexico in June 2021. [4]
He was a silver medalist at the 2022 Bolivarian Games in Colombia in the -80kg. After recovering from an injury that ruled him out of action for three months, he was a silver medalist at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, in the Men's Kyorugi team. [2] [5] [6]
He qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games at the 2024 Pan American Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament in San Domingo, Dominican Republic in April 2024. [7] [8] [9]

Chika Yagazie Chukwumerije is a male taekwondo practitioner from Nigeria. The son of Nigerian politician Uche Chukwumerije, Chika first drew attention in 2003 during the qualifiers for the 2003 All-Africa Games, where he eventually won a bronze medal in the Heavyweight Male category. He qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but lost his first bout to Pascal Gentil, the eventual bronze medal winner. Nevertheless, after a period of intensive training that was funded by his father, he became one of Nigeria's best chances for a medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He won a gold medal at the 2007 All-Africa Games in the +80 kg class and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games soon after. Although he lost to eventual silver-medal winner Alexandros Nikolaidis in the semifinals of the +80kg event, he was entered into the repechage round of the tournament. Here, after defeating Akmal Irgashev of Uzbekistan he claimed a bronze medal in the event, Nigeria's third medal of the tournament. Four years later he competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, but did not make it past his first bout.

He won the bronze medal in the 68 kg at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the silver medal in the men's lightweight event at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships held in Guadalajara, and a gold medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, in the under 63 kg weight category.
