Jodhi Meares (born 24 March 1971) is an Australian glamour model, television personality and fashion designer.

Career

Meares took her first steps into the spotlight when she was chosen as a model for Moove, a brand of flavoured milk. In 1992, she sang in the band Euphoria, for which she wrote the song "Karma". Meares later made her name as a glamour model, before establishing her own swimwear label Tigerlily Swimwear.

Meares is an occasional reporter for the Nine Network's travel show Getaway . She has also appeared three times on the Nine Network's clip show 20 to 1 .

She was the host for FOX8's Australia's Next Top Model in 2007 and 2008, taking over from Erika Heynatz and joining the likes of international hosts Lisa Snowdon (UK) and creator Tyra Banks (US). In both of those seasons, the models have appeared in advertisements for Meares' former swimsuit line, Tigerlilly. Meares' tenure was not widely regarded; critics and fans of the show were shocked that a glamour model was to host a search for High Fashion models.

In 2013, Meares began activewear label, 'The Upside'.

Personal life

On 23 October 1999, Meares married billionaire Australian media businessman James Packer at Packer's home at Bellevue Hill, Sydney. [1] They separated in June 2002. [2]

Euphoria were an Australian dance-pop trio formed in 1991. They were founded by producer and songwriter Andrew Klippel on keyboards and backing vocals with lead vocals and dancing by Holly Garnett and Keren Minshull. Euphoria had two number-one hits on the ARIA Singles Chart, "Love You Right" and "One in a Million". Their third single, "Do for You", peaked at No. 7. Their sole album, Total Euphoria, reached No. 14 on the related ARIA Albums Chart. Model Jodhi Meares replaced Garnett after she left in 1992. The group disbanded in mid-1993. Season three of Australia's Next Top Model premiered on 27 March 2007 on Fox8. Former model and designer of swimsuit collection Tigerlily, Jodhi Meares replaced Erika Heynatz as the host of the show after the latter was involved in a breach of contract following her appearance on the Seven Network series It Takes Two in 2006. Alex Perry was the only original judge to return in the third series. Also joining the panel for the first time were international photographer Jez Smith, and ex-model and TV personality Charlotte Dawson. Fashion photographer Georges Antoni and fashion producer Victoria Fisher were replaced this year by these new judges.

<i>Australias Next Top Model</i> (season 4) Season of television series

The fourth season of Australia's Next Top Model premiered on 22 April 2008 on Fox8. Auditions were held during October and November 2007 across Australia. Host Jodhi Meares returned for the fourth series along with judges Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson, while Jez Smith left the show due to scheduling commitments. Two different guest judges were included at panel every week. The contestants were housed in an $8 million waterfront mansion, located in the southern Sydney suburb of Port Hacking, which the contestants moved into on 25 January 2008.
