Joepie (Dutch : Yippie) was a weekly youth and music magazine published in Belgium. The magazine appeared between 1973 and 2015.
Joepie was first published on 28 February 1973. [1] The founding company was N.V. Sparta which was later renamed as Magnet Magazines. It was the precursor of De Persgroep. [1] Guido Van Liefferinge was the founding editor-in-chief of the magazine which was published in Dutch. [1]
Joepie published photonovels which featured the Belgian singers such as Willy Sommers, Micha Mara, Paul Severs, Jimmy Frey and John Terra. [1] The magazine was redesigned in 1985 to improve its sales and became a publication with a focus on pop music celebrities. [1] It began to target 12-17 years old girls after its redesign. [2] The publications of photonovels ended in February 2014. [1] The magazine sold 31,133 copies in February 2015. [3] Joepie folded in the late 2015 due to lower circulation levels. [1] Shortly before its closure the frequency of the magazine was redesigned as monthly in April 2015. [3]
Two special issues of Joepie were published in 2019 and in 2023 for charity purposes. [4]

Brussels, officially the Brussels-Capital Region, is a region of Belgium comprising 19 municipalities, including the City of Brussels, which is the capital of Belgium. The Brussels-Capital Region is located in the central portion of the country and is a part of both the French Community of Belgium and the Flemish Community, but is separate from the Flemish Region and the Walloon Region, located less than 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the south. Historically Dutch-speaking, Brussels saw a language shift to French from the late 19th century. Nowadays, the Brussels-Capital Region is officially bilingual in French and Dutch, although French is the majority language and lingua franca. Brussels is also increasingly becoming multilingual. Oud-Heverlee Leuven, also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian professional football club from the city of Leuven. It was created in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee, whose registration number it inherited, Daring Club Leuven, and Stade Leuven. The club's home ground is Den Dreef, located in Heverlee. Johan Anthierens was a Belgian journalist, columnist, publicist, critic and writer. He became notorious because of his socially conscious columns, as well as his equally controversial opinions during interviews. He published both in HUMO as well as Knack and founded his own short-lived satirical magazine, De Zwijger in 1982-1985. The general public got to know him thanks to his television appearances, both as panel member in the quiz De Wies Andersen Show and as interviewer in the talkshow Noord-Zuid (North-South). Due to his confrontational criticism of capitalism, the monarchy, the Church, the establishment and the far-right movement Anthierens had both a lot of admirers as well as many enemies. Still, together with Louis De Lentdecker and Maurice De Wilde, he was widely regarded as one of the "Big Three" of Flemish critical journalism.
