Lafayette Parish is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. According to the 2020 U.S. census, the parish had a population of 241,753, up from 221,578 at the 2010 United States census. The parish seat is the city of Lafayette. The parish was founded in 1823. Since 1996, the city and parish have operated as a consolidated government.
West Lafayette is a city in Wabash Township, Tippecanoe County, Indiana, United States, about 65 miles (105 km) northwest of the state capital of Indianapolis and 113 miles (182 km) southeast of Chicago. West Lafayette is directly across the Wabash River from its sister city, Lafayette. As of the 2020 census, its population was 44,595. It is the most densely populated city in Indiana and is home to Purdue University.

The neighborhood of Faubourg Lafayette is a division in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is also known as the 10th Ward of New Orleans, and it is one of the city's 17 wards. Faubourg Lafayette was founded with small settlements around steamboat landings in New Orleans. John Poultney acquired the property from Madame Rousseau on May 2, 1818. This was a plantation measuring about 10 arpents, near the Mississippi River waterfront. The property was bounded by the lower line of property owned by Jacques François Enoul de Livaudais.
