Joey Jamie Falzon (born 2 October 1969) is a former professional footballer and current manager of Maltese First Division side St. George's. Throughout his career he played as a defender, and as a midfielder. Born in Australia, he represented the Malta national team. [1]
Falzon played for the Malta national football team in the 1990 Rothman's Tournament. [2]
Falzon was in charge of Mqabba between 2006 and 2008. [3] In 2011 he was named manager of Zejtun Corinthians [4] after leaving St. George's. [5] In May 2016 he was dismissed after two seasons at Rabat Ajax. [6]

Valletta F.C. is a professional football club based in Valletta, the capital city of Malta. They compete in the Maltese Challenge League, the second tier of Maltese football, following relegation from the Maltese Premier League in 2024. The club was founded in 1943 after a merge of Valletta Prestons, Valletta St. Paul's and Valletta United, the latter being a two-time league winner before the Second World War.
Rabat Ajax Football Club is a Maltese football club based in Rabat. The last promotion to the Maltese Premier League was achieved in the 2011–12 season, when they earned promotion after finishing second behind Melita. In the 2020-21 National Amateur League season, the club finished 4th in group B, qualifying for the promotion playoffs. After beating Msida St. Joseph and Marsaskala in the quarter and semi finals respectively, they reached the final against Kirkop United. The Magpies won the final 2–1, securing themselves the fourth and final promotion spot to the following seasons Challenge League.
The 2008–09 Maltese First Division season started in October 2008 and ended in May 2009. Pieta Hotspurs and Mqabba were relegated from the Premier League. The promoted teams were San Gwann and Rabat Ajax. Dingli Swallows and Vittoriosa Stars finished the league as joint first with the same number of points. Both were promoted but a decider had to be played to decide who the champions would be. The decider was won by Dingli by the score of 2–1. At the other end Rabat Ajax and Senglea Athletic were relegated to the Second Division.
The 2001–02 Maltese First Division started on 15 September 2001 and finished on 28 April 2002. Rabat Ajax and Xgħajra Tornados were relegated from the Maltese Premier League. Mqabba and Balzan Youths were promoted from Maltese Second Division. Marsaxlokk were the champions while Mosta were the runners-up. Both teams were promoted to Maltese Premier League. Qormi and St. Andrews were relegated to Maltese Second Division.
Charles Scerri or Charles Xerri, is a retired footballer and former manager of the Malta Under 17 side. He later assisted Stephen Azzopardi at Qormi and Winston Muscat at the Malta U-19s.
Silvio Vella is a former professional footballer who played for Rabat Ajax and Hibernians as a defender. Born in Canada, he played for the Malta national team.

It was sponsored by Boost Diesel, which was revealed during the draws of the first, second and third round of the Maltese FA Trophy at the Trophies Lounge in Malta Football Association headquarters in Ta' Qali. A total of sixty–four clubs participated in this season's cup competition.
The 2018–19 Maltese FA Trophy was the 81st edition of the football cup competition. A record number of 67 clubs competed in the FA Trophy, with the first round starting on the weekend of 1–2 September 2018 and concluding with the final played on 18 May 2019.

The winners of the Maltese FA Trophy will earn a place in the first qualifying round of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. The first round of games started on 7 December 2021.
The 2023–24 Maltese National Amateur League occurs between 15 September 2023 and 23 April 2024. This is the fourth season since the Second and Third divisions were unified into the two-group Amateur League system. The Maltese National Amateur League is Malta's third-highest professional football division. The 2023-24 League winners will be promoted to the Maltese Challenge League.
