Johan H. Enslin is a scientist in the field of electrical engineering, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has been named as a fellow member for his contributions to integration of renewable energy into power networks and using power electronics. [1]

Johan Enslin previously held the position of Director at the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) and was the Duke Energy Distinguished Chaired Professor in Power Systems at UNC Charlotte. With a career spanning 40 years, Enslin has been a leader in both academia and industry across the US, Europe, and South Africa. He has served as an executive for private businesses and as a professor of electrical engineering, initiating and leading renewable energy teams, companies, and multi-disciplinary power system projects. Throughout his career, Enslin has worked with over 80 power utilities, governments, and industries in the US, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He is a prolific author, having written over 350 technical papers for IEEE and other organizations, as well as contributing to scientific books. Enslin is a lifelong leader in the IEEE and CIGRÉ working groups and committees, and holds more than 25 provisional and final patents. He has received several awards and is a registered Professional Engineer in South Africa, as well as a Fellow of the SAIEE and Fellow of the IEEE. Enslin currently serves on the scientific advisory boards for several companies, non-profit organizations, and university centers, and is an Emeritus Director on the E4 Carolinas Board. In 2014, he was awarded the Charlotte Business Journal Energy Leadership Award and graduated from the Leadership North Carolina (LNC), Class XXII.

Johan received the B.S. degree in 1981, the M.S. degree in 1983, and the Ph.D. degree in 1988, all from Rand Afrikaans University, South Africa. [2]

Sudip K. Mazumder is a UIC Distinguished Professor and is the Director of Laboratory for Energy and Switching-Electronic Systems (LESES) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), which he joined in 2001. He has over 30 years of professional experience and has held R&D and design positions in leading industrial organizations, and has served as technical consultant for several industries. He also serves as the President of NextWatt LLC since 2008.

Md. Azizur (Aziz) Rahman was a Bangladeshi born Canadian inventor of modern energy-efficient electric motors that span multiple industry applications. He was an electrical engineer, professor, researcher and scientist. He is internationally recognized as one of the founding innovators of modern power engineering and a pioneer in the development and application of interior permanent magnet motors and associated drive technology-used in the world's first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, the Toyota Prius. Since launching the Prius in 1997, Toyota surpassed global sales of 15 million hybrid vehicles in 2020, all of which use Dr. Rahman's IPM motor drive. His research contributions were broad and adopted in a wide range of electric motor applications ranging from vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, elevators to aircraft.

Ifeanyi Orajaka is a Nigerian engineer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Green Village Electricity (GVE) Projects Limited, a renewable energy business in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Elham Badie Makram is an electrical engineer and engineering educator specializing in power systems engineering. She is South Carolina Electric and Gas Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Emerita in the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University, and the former director of the Clemson University Electric Power Research Association.

Hulya Kirkici is a Turkish-American electrical engineer whose research interests span a wide range of topics including insulators for aerospace applications, pulsed power, the use of advanced materials in plasma switches and vacuum electronics, pulsed plasma, and beam shaping for lasers and lidar. She is professor and chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of South Alabama.

Maryam Saeedifard is an electrical engineer specializing in power electronics, including multi-level HVDC converters, and the control theory of microgrids, with application to inexpensive and efficient renewable energy power conversion for solar power and wind power. Originally from Iran, and educated in Iran and Canada, she has worked in Switzerland and the US, where she is Dean's Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech.

Pragasen Pillay is a South African electrical engineer known for his research in power engineering and renewable energy technology. He has been a professor at Concordia University since 2008. Before that, he was a professor at Clarkson University from 1995 to 2007. He was appointed as an honorary professor at the University of Cape Town in 2017.
