Johan Vold

Johan Nic. Vold (born 1947) is a Norwegian businessperson. He is Chairman of Gassnova and Deputy Chairman of DnB NOR. He is a Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Sofia University located in Palo Alto of California.

Biography

Vold is educated as siviløkonom at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. He has worked as an executive in Statoil, [1] and later CEO of Norsk Shell. He has also been Chairman of Econ Analyse, the Nordic Investment Bank, SINTEF, INTSOK and PETRAD. [2]

Estimated recoverable reserves are 193 billion cubic metres of natural gas, 113 million barrels of condensate, and 5.1 million tonnes of natural gas liquids (NGL). The development comprises 21 wells. The Snøhvit development is operated by Equinor on behalf of six gas companies owning licenses:

Vavatn

Vavatn is a lake in the municipality of Hemsedal in Viken county, Norway. It is a water source for Gjuva kraftverk, a hydro-electric power plant, which utilizes the waterfall from the lake into the Gjuva river as it enters the valley of Grøndalen. The power station was put into operation in 1957 but was rehabilitated in 1995. The owner-operator is E- CO Energi.

YX Energi, formerly known as Hydro Texaco, is a Norwegian and Danish gas station chain formed after the merge of the Hydro and Texaco gas station chains in 1995. Jan Erik Vold

Jan Erik Vold is a Norwegian lyric poet, jazz vocal reciter, translator and author. He was a core member of the so-called "Profil generation", the circle attached to the literary magazine Profil. Throughout his career as an artist, he has had the ability to reach the public, both with his poetry and his political views. He has contributed greatly to the renewal of Norwegian poetry, and created interest in lyrical poetry. Jan Erik Vold is currently living in Stockholm.

Goliat field

Goliat field is an offshore oil field in the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea. It is located 85 kilometres (53 mi) northwest of Hammerfest. The license is owned by Vår Energi AS and Equinor AS (35%). It was awarded in 1997. Oil was discovered in 2000. The field development concept was approved by the Government of Norway on 8 May 2009. The field will be developed by using Goliat FPSO, a floating production storage and offloading unit.

Egil Kapstad was a Norwegian jazz pianist, composer and arranger. He wrote the music for more than 50 productions for theater, and also composed for film and television drama. Kapstad composed classical works for orchestra, choir, string quartet, and smaller ensembles, and was a chief executive of the association Ny Musikk. He worked as a host in television for NRK. Egil Kapstad's Trio worked as a small orchestra in the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix of 1965.

Augustin Paus

Augustin Thoresen Paus was a Norwegian engineer and industrial leader in the hydropower industry. From 1918 he led the construction of the hydroelectric power plant at Rånåsfoss, one of the largest in Europe. Following the construction of the plant, he was the first managing director of Akershus Energi from 1922 until his death in 1945. He was "one of the most prominent leaders in the Norwegian energy industry" until his death.

<i>Occupied</i> Norwegian TV thriller series

Occupied is a Norwegian political thriller TV series that premiered on TV2 on 5 October 2015. Based on an original idea by Jo Nesbø, the series is co-created with Karianne Lund and Erik Skjoldbjærg. Season 2 premiered on 10 October 2017. The final third season started airing in Scandinavia on 5 December 2019, and was released in many countries via Netflix on 31 December 2019.
