The orders,decorations,and medals of Canada comprise a complex system by which Canadians are honoured by the country's sovereign for actions or deeds that benefit their community or the country at large. Modelled on its British predecessor,the structure originated in the 1930s,but began to come to full fruition at the time of Canada's centennial in 1967,with the establishment of the Order of Canada,and has since grown in both size and scope to include dynastic and national orders,state,civil,and military decorations;and various campaign medals. The monarch in right of each Canadian province also issues distinct orders and medals to honour residents for work performed in just their province. The provincial honours,as with some of their national counterparts,grant the use of post-nominal letters and or supporters and other devices to be used on personal coats of arms.
The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal is a commemorative medal created in 1977 to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of Elizabeth II's accession in the United Kingdom,Canada,Australia,and New Zealand. The medal is physically identical in all realms where it was awarded,save for Canada,where it contained unique elements. As an internationally distributed award,the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal holds a different place in each country's order of precedence for honours.
William John Shannon Elliott is a Canadian civil servant who served as the commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) from July 16,2007 to November 20,2011. He held a number of roles in the Government of Canada,including as the national security advisor to the prime minister,associate deputy minister of Public Safety Canada and deputy commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard. Elliott was the RCMP's first civilian commissioner.

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal or The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal was a commemorative medal created in 2012 to mark the sixtieth anniversary of Elizabeth II's accession to the thrones of the Commonwealth realms. There are four versions of the medal:one issued by the United Kingdom,another by Canada,the third for the Caribbean realms of Antigua and Barbuda,the Bahamas,Barbados,Grenada,Jamaica,Saint Kitts and Nevis,Saint Lucia,and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines,and the fourth issued by Papua New Guinea. The ribbons used with the Canadian and British versions of the medal are the same,while the ribbon of the Caribbean and the Papua New Guinean medal differ slightly. The different iterations of the medal were presented to tens of thousands of recipients throughout the Commonwealth realms in the jubilee year.
Prawit Wongsuwan served as Minister of Defence of Thailand from 2008 to 2011 and from 2014 to 2019. Prior to her position as interim privacy commissioner,Bernier was an assistant deputy minister for Public Safety Canada from 2002 to 2008 and assistant Privacy Commissioner of Canada from 2008 to 2013. In 2012,she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Lieutenant General Rocky Ricardo Meade is a Jamaican military leader who was the third Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF),serving from December 2016 to January 2022.
