From 2010-14, each spring, the school put on a variety show encompassing aspects of both the performing arts and a visual art display. The show is called Kennedy Honors Excellence in the Arts, and was modeled after the Kennedy Center Honors that take place annually in Washington DC. The event showcased the talents of students in the areas of visual, vocal, instrumental and acting performance. In addition, the show paid tribute to an individual who has greatly benefited performing arts at JFK. Since 2015, the variety show has been rebranded Fiddlesticks and become almost entirely student-run.
In 2012, Tyler Luonuansuu ('12) won the State Championship title in Student Congressional Debate at the Ohio High School Speech League state tournament at Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio. [1]
Stivers School for the Arts is a magnet school in the Dayton City Schools in Dayton, Ohio, USA, in the St. Anne's Hill Historic District neighborhood. It is a public middle and high school that focuses on education in the visual and performing arts. U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks Stivers among America's best high schools.
Columbus Academy is a selective, independent college-preparatory school for students from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade.The school is located on a large, secluded campus surrounded by wooded areas in Gahanna, Ohio in the United States, 8 miles from downtown Columbus. The Academy was founded in 1911 by J. L. Hamill in Bexley, Ohio and moved to its current campus in 1968. Originally an all-boys school, it became coeducational in 1991 when the Board of Trustees decided to admit girls. From its conception, the school expanded over time to a matriculation level of 1,000 students. Columbus Academy students and alumni often refer to the school as "Academy".

St. Thomas Aquinas High School (STA) is a private, Catholic co-educational high school located in Louisville, Ohio, United States, run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. It was founded in 1964 to serve the Catholic families of eastern Stark County and parts of Portage County. When it opened, Aquinas enrolled both male and female students, but was a single-sex educational institution, as boys and girls attended classes within separate wings of the school. STA began practicing its current co-educational format in 1970.

The Highlands School is a private, PK–12 Catholic college preparatory school in Irving, Texas, United States. It was established in 1986, in the front room of a family's house in Highland Park, Dallas. The last twenty years, The Highlands School changed location twice. The school itself has seen many upgrades from the addition of a football field and lights to a gymnasium, weight room, and new technology in the classrooms. The Highlands School is fully accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) since 1999, and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 2006. For the fourth consecutive year, the school has been named by the Acton Institute as one of the "Top 50 Catholic Schools" in the country. In 2012, it was also named a top 50 Catholic High School by the Cardinal Newman Society.

The high school is located at 600 East Park Street. This building houses students in grades 7-12. Students in grades K-6 attend the Fort Loramie Elementary School which is located at 35 Elm Street. The district serves between 780-820 students in any given school year. The motto for the district and the community is: "A Great Place to Learn and a Great Place to Live!" The mascot is the Redskin and the school colors are red and black. They primarily compete in the Shelby County Athletic League, but play football in the Cross County Conference.
