John Ferrentino is an American comedian and comedy magician. He was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He has made several television appearances (including HBO, VH1, the Comedy Channel, A&E, and Showtime). [1] [2] [3] For five years, he was a regular guest on Fox's Comic Strip Live, [4] and for ten years he toured as the opening act for Crosby, Stills & Nash. [5] He was also a regular on Comedy Tonight on the Fox Network. [6] [4]
John Ferrentino began his career as the comic relief at the hospital he was working in as an x-ray technician, and soon began frequenting a club in Massapequa, Long Island called The White House. [4]
For 44 years, he performed thousands of shows across the country and made over fifty television appearances. [7] [4] He toured the world with Crosby, Stills, & Nash, before continuing to travel and perform on every major cruise line. [8] He is also a regular performer at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, [8] [9] has invented magic tricks, written three books about magic (including Comedy Clubs for All Magicians) [10]
Additionally, Ferrentino has been a regular at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and performed at the World Summit of Magic in Washington DC. [11]
Recently, Ferrentino returned to Los Angeles to perform at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. [12] in 2015, he created a new show called "Do Spirits Return" with less emphasis on comedy and more on history, with original magic invented for the show and an element of paranormal. [12] [13] [14] It was based on "The Waverly Hills Sanatorium". [15]
The show and lecture was performed in theaters, magic conventions, and was taught as a course at Jeff McBrides Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas. [14] [15]

John Max Thompson was an American comedian and Las Vegas illusionist who performed under the stage name The Great Tomsoni with his wife, Pamela Hayes. They had a comedic slapstick act with the well-dressed Thompson and his gum-popping assistant, Pam, performing illusions while enduring a series of mishaps. Within the magician community, Tomsoni was considered a virtuoso, widely known as a mentor and teacher of magic, and a creator of tricks, as opposed to simply a performer. He worked behind the scenes with magicians such as Penn and Teller, Lance Burton, Criss Angel and Mat Franco. In 1999, he was awarded one of the highest honors in the magician community, a Masters Fellowship with the Academy of Magical Arts. January 30, 2020, Showtime released a documentary about Thompson written and directed by Emery Emery called Gambler's Ballad: The Legend of Johnny Thompson.

John Edward Szeles, better known by the stage name The Amazing Johnathan, was an American comedian and magician.
