John G. Bestman (born December 1,1939,in Liberia) is a Liberian politician and administrator who twice served as Minister of Finance,from 1987 to 1988 and again in 1999. [2] He also served as minister of telecommunication and postage as well as governor of the Central Bank of Liberia. In 2005,Bestman managed Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's success presidential campaign,which saw her become the first African female president. [3] Bestman also was a member of the board of the Central Bank [4] and adviser to the president.

It is bordered by Sierra Leone to its northwest,Guinea to its north,Ivory Coast to its east,and the Atlantic Ocean to its south and southwest. He was President of Côte d'Ivoire from 1993 to 1999,and formerly President of the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast –African Democratic Rally (PDCI-RDA). Alassane Dramane Ouattara is an Ivorian politician and economist who has been President of Ivory Coast since 2010. An economist by profession,he worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Central Bank of West African States,and was the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire from November 1990 to December 1993,appointed to that post by then-President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Ouattara became the President of the Rally of the Republicans (RDR),an Ivorian political party,in 1999.
General elections were held in the Central African Republic on March 13,2005 to elect the President and National Assembly. A second round was held for both elections on May 8,marking the end of the transitional process that began with the seizure of power by François Bozizéin a March 2003 coup,overthrowing President Ange-Félix Patassé. A new constitution was approved in a referendum in December 2004 and took effect the same month.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is a Liberian politician who served as the 24th president of Liberia from 2006 to 2018. Sirleaf was the first elected female head of state in Africa.

Joseph Nyumah Boakai is a Liberian politician who is the 26th and current president of Liberia. He previously served as the 29th vice president of Liberia from 2006 to 2018,under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and as the minister of agriculture from 1983 to 1985. Boakai ran for president in 2017,losing the election to George Weah. He went on to defeat Weah in the 2023 election.
Hamid Algabid is a Nigerien politician and the President of the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP-Jama'a) party. A lawyer,banker,and technocrat,Algabid was an important figure in the regime of Seyni Kountché,serving as Prime Minister of Niger from 1983 to 1988. He was Secretary-General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) from 1989 to 1996,and since 1997 he has been President of the RDP-Jama'a. He was also President of the High Council of Territorial Collectivities (HCCT) until 2010.
Amadou Boubacar Cissé is a Nigerien politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Niger on two occasions,from 8 to 21 February 1995 and again from 21 December 1996 to 27 November 1997. He has led a political party,the Union for Democracy and the Republic (UDR-Tabbat) since 1999. He was appointed as Minister of State for Planning in 2011.

Ali Badjo Gamatié is a Nigerien politician and civil servant who served as Prime Minister of Niger from October 2009 to February 2010. He was Minister of Finance from 2000 to 2002 and then served as Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) before being appointed as Prime Minister by President Mamadou Tandja. Gamatiéwas Prime Minister for only a few months,however,as Tandja was overthrown in a February 2010 military coup.

Amara M. Konneh is a Liberian national who serves as a Senator from Gbarpolu County,Western Liberia. Previously,he served as a senior advisor for Africa for the World Bank. In this role,he advised the World Bank on regional economic integration to create economic hubs for value chains and helped build strategic partnerships with Africa's regional economic commissions. Before that,he served as lead advisor for the Bank's engagements in countries affected by fragility,conflict,violence,and forced displacement with emphasis on Ethiopia,Eritrea,Kenya,and Nigeria.
The Ministry of Finance is a government ministry of the Republic of Liberia. As of 2024,the Liberian Finance Minister is Boima Kamara,who was appointed in January 2024. The minister is appointed by the President of Liberia,with the consent of Senate of Liberia.
