In 1952, he became the first professional cricketer of the 20th Century to captain England in Tests; under his captaincy England won the Ashes the following year for the first time in 19 years.

Horley is a village and civil parish in the north of Oxfordshire about 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Banbury.

Surrey 4 is a level 12 English Rugby Union League. It is made up of teams predominantly from Surrey and south-west London. The teams play home and away matches from September through to April.
