This John Lovelace (1672-1709) briefly held the title as the 5th Baron Lovelace following the death of his father, the 4th Baron Lovelace (also named John).
He was the son of John Lovelace, 4th Baron Lovelace, who was Governor of New York and New Jersey. [1]
He survived his father by only a few weeks, dying in May 1709.
As he died as a child and without an heir, the title passed to his younger brother, Nevill Lovelace, 6th Baron Lovelace who became the 6th and final Baron Lovelace.
