John Roberts (born 1857) was a Welsh international footballer. He was part of the Wales national football team between 1879 and 1883, playing 7 matches and scoring 1 goal. He played his first match on 7 April 1879 against Scotland and his last match on 3 February 1883 against England. [1]

Coedpoeth United Football Club are a football club based in Coedpoeth, Wrexham County Borough. They currently play in the North East Wales Football League Premier Division.

The 1876 association football match between the national teams representing Scotland and Wales was the first game played by the latter side. It took place on 25 March 1876 at Hamilton Crescent, Partick, the home ground of the West of Scotland Cricket Club. The match was also the first time that Scotland had played against a side other than England.
