Johnnie Bryant (born August 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball coach who serves as associate head coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of Utah.
Bryant played the 2003–04 season at San Francisco City College. During the 2004–05 season he transferred to the University of Utah, where he redshirted the remainder of the season. As a sophomore, Bryant earned honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference, appearing in all 29 games. As a junior, Bryant also earned honorable mention All-Mountain West Conference, averaging 15.1 points per game. [1] [2]
Bryant holds the University of Utah's career three-point percentage record (.440). [3]
Bryant started coaching at the Bryant Sports Academy, a skill development program through which he worked with athletes of all ages, including former Utah Jazz forward Paul Millsap and Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. [4]
On September 25, 2012, Bryant was hired by the Utah Jazz as a player development assistant. [4] On June 24, 2014, he was promoted to assistant coach under head coach Quin Snyder. [5]
On September 4, 2020, Bryant was named the associate head coach of the New York Knicks. [6]
James William Cartwright is an American former professional basketball player and a former head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A 7'1" center, he played 16 seasons for the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Seattle SuperSonics, helping the Bulls capture consecutive championships in the 1991, 1992 and 1993 seasons. He attended Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, California, and played college basketball at the University of San Francisco.
Philip Douglas Jackson is an American former professional basketball player, coach, and executive. Jeffrey John Hornacek is an American professional basketball coach and a former player who is a coaching consultant for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously was the head coach for both the Phoenix Suns (2013–2016) and the New York Knicks (2016–2018). He was also an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets. He played shooting guard in the NBA from 1986 through 2000 and played collegiately at Iowa State University.

He formerly served in an administrative role for the University of Kentucky basketball team under head coach John Calipari and was the director of basketball operations at the University of Memphis under Calipari. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1992 to 2004, and was an Assistant for Player Development for the Philadelphia 76ers. He played college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, earning all-conference honors in the Pac-10 as a senior. Rooks died of heart disease on June 7, 2016.
