Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Norrköping, more commonly known as IFK Norrköping or simply Norrköping, is a Swedish professional football club based in Norrköping. The club is affiliated to Östergötlands Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Östgötaporten. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are white and blue. Formed on 29 May 1897, the club have won thirteen national championship titles and six national cup titles.
Idrottsklubben Sleipner is a sports club in Norrköping, Sweden; the main sports are football and ten-pin bowling. It was founded in 1903, and named after the deity Odin's horse Sleipnir from Norse mythology. Currently, the club's senior men's team plays football in Division 2. Lars Rickard "Lasse" Eriksson is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He represented Hammarby IF, IFK Norrköping, Charleroi, and FC Porto during a career that spanned between 1986 and 2001. A full international between 1988 and 1995, he won 17 caps for the Sweden national team and was a part of Sweden's 1990 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 1992, and 1994 FIFA World Cup squads. The two clubs have also played most seasons in the top tier league Allsvenskan of all Östergötland clubs and they are also the two out of just three Östergötland clubs to have won the Swedish football championship, IFK Norrköping with 12 titles and Åtvidabergs FF with 2 titles. The majority of the matches between the two clubs have taken place in Allsvenskan, but fixtures have also taken place in Division 2 and Superettan. As of the 2017 season, IFK Norrköping are competing in Allsvenskan, and Åtvidabergs FF are in Superettan.

The fixtures were released on 9 December 2015 and it included a meeting between the two most recent champions IFK Norrköping and Malmö FF as the opening match, a replay of the last round of the previous season. The season started on 2 April 2016 and ended in November 2016.
