Jonny Bentley (born 1 July 1986) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays at fly-half for Chinnor.

Bentley original club was Hutt Old Boys Marist RFC in New Zealand, where as a Wellington Academy member he played for Wellington U21s and the Wellington XV. In 2007 he was the WRFU Club's 'Rugby Player of the Year'.

After playing for Yokogawa Musashino Atlastars, in Japan, he signed for the Cornish Pirates in the RFU Championship for the 2009–10 season. [1] He made a total of 57 appearances with the Pirates where he helped them to win the British and Irish Cup in 2010. Unfortunately, he suffered an Achilles tendon tear following abductor muscle trouble and did not play for seventeen months returning for the Pirates during the 2012–13 season. [2]

On 19 June 2013, it was announced that Bentley would join Gloucester Rugby in the Aviva Premiership on a one-year contract for the 2013–14 season. [3] On 6 June 2014, Bentley returned to the RFU Championship as he signed a contract to join Jersey for the 2014–15 season. [4] On 28 April 2015 Jonny Bentley confirmed his departure from Jersey [5]

On 28 May 2015, Bentley returned to New Zealand to sign for his province Wellington Lions for the 2015 ITM Cup campaign. [6] Bentley returned to the RFU Championship with Ealing Trailfinders for the rest of the 2015–16 season. [7]

From the 2016–17 season, Bentley has been playing for Chinnor who compete in National League 2 South. [8]

The 2013–14 RFU Championship, known for sponsorship reasons as the Greene King IPA Championship, was the fifth season of the professionalised format of the RFU Championship, the second tier of the English rugby union league system run by the Rugby Football Union. It was held between 14 September 2013 and 4 June 2014. It was contested by eleven English clubs and one from Jersey in the Channel Islands. It was also the first Championship season with a title sponsor, as the Rugby Football Union and Greene King Brewery reached a deal by which the brewery would become the competition's main sponsor from 2013–14 through to 2016–17.

Phil Chesters is an English rugby union player who is currently playing for Chinnor in National League 1 having signed for the club for the 2017-18 season. Prior to that he had made his name at Ealing Trailfinders where he had also been part of the medical staff. His best position is winger and over his career he has proved to be a tremendous try scorer who has set multiple records in lower division English rugby with Ealing, notably all-time records of 42 tries in a season in tier 3 and an amazing 70 tries in a season in tier 4 – a record that is unlikely to ever be beaten. As of the end of the 2017-18 he has also become the National League 2 South all-time try scorer with 117 tries.

Guy Edwin Peter Thompson is an English rugby union player for Ealing Trailfinders in the RFU Championship, he plays flanker or number 8. Between 2013–2018 Thompson played 99 times for Wasps and has also previously played for Leicester Tigers in Premiership Rugby, Richmond F.C., in National League 2 South, and for Jersey Reds in National League 1 and the RFU Championship.
