Jordi Juvanteny (born 6 April 1960) is a Spanish rally raid driver who specializes in the truck category.

Juvanteny has 32 participations in the Dakar Rally, and from 1995 to 2021, he participated with the Andalusian José Luis Criado as co-pilot (resuming the partnership in 2023), who with 33 participations [1] [2] is the Spaniard with the most presences in the Dakar Rally, surpassing in one participation to Xavi Foj and Juvanteny himself, and two participations to Rafa Tibau Sr. He is the winner of the 2024 and 2025 Dakar Rally in the Mission 1000 category.

Career

Juvanteny first participated in the Dakar Rally in 1991. Juvanteny and Criado have 16 victories in the 6x6 category and 4 victories in Production (series trucks). [3] In 2023, they participated with a truck partially powered by hydrogen, becoming the first hydrogen-powered truck to finish the Dakar Rally. [4] [5] [6] Juvanteny returned to the Dakar Rally in 2024 alongside Criado and Xavier Ribas, this time in the Mission 1000 category. [7] With this category, he won his first stage in the third stage. [8] Having held the overall lead from then on, Juvanteny became the inaugural event winner in the Mission 1000 category. [9] [10] In 2025, Juvanteny won the Dakar Rally again in his category. [11]

Fina Román is a Spanish off-road racing codriver and navigator. She is married with the off road racing driver Josep María Serviá, who is the main reason why she started to compete, since he was attendant to the Dakar Rally in the 90s. Román started in the Schlesser Team, participating in assistance vehicles. Besides an assistant, she has also competed in car and trucks categories. Then, she moved in 2006 to official competition, as a navigator in the KH7-Epsilon Team, in the 6x6 trucks category, together with driver Jordi Juvanteny and co-driver José Luis Criado.

The 2021 Dakar Rally was a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia and the 43rd edition of the Dakar Rally. The event was held for 14 days, starting from 3 January and ended 15 January 2021. It was the second time Saudi Arabia had hosted the event, with support from the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. The race started and ended in Jeddah, allowing the competitors to venture through the desert and alongside the Red Sea. The route consists of one prologue stage and 12 normal stages, with one rest day in Ha'il on 9 January. The rally was originally intended to run through 2–3 additional countries, with Egypt and Jordan being rumoured likely candidates. However, due to travel and border restrictions implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the route stayed entirely within Saudi Arabian territory.

In 2024, Cristina made history by winning the challenger category in the Dakar Rally, becoming only the second woman in history to achieve this feat in the world's toughest rally. This accomplishment follows Jutta Kleinschmidt victory in 2001, 23 years prior, as the Dakar Rally continues to become more and more professionalized. She is also the first Spanish woman to ever win at the Dakar Rally. She also holds four Dakar Rally stage wins.

The 2023 Dakar Rally was a rally raid event held in Saudi Arabia and the 45th edition of the Dakar Rally organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). The event takes place between 31 December 2022 and 15 January 2023. This is the fourth time Saudi Arabia has hosted the event. For the second year running, the event is also the first round of the 2023 World Rally-Raid Championship.

For the fourth year running, the event will also be the first round of the 2025 World Rally-Raid Championship.

Tosha Schareina Marzal is a Spanish motorcycle racer, whose achievements include notable performances in the Dakar Rally and other international rally raid and enduro events. Since 2023, he has been part of the official Honda team, with whom he competes in international rallies.
