Aquarius is an equatorial constellation of the zodiac, between Capricornus and Pisces. Its name is Latin for "water-carrier" or "cup-carrier",and its old astronomical symbol is (♒︎),a representation of water. Aquarius is one of the oldest of the recognized constellations along the zodiac. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It is found in a region often called the Sea due to its profusion of constellations with watery associations such as Cetus the whale,Pisces the fish, and Eridanus the river.
The parsec is a unit of length used to measure the large distances to astronomical objects outside the Solar System, approximately equal to 3.26 light-years or 206,265 astronomical units (AU),i.e. 30.9 trillion kilometres. The parsec unit is obtained by the use of parallax and trigonometry, and is defined as the distance at which 1 AU subtends an angle of one arcsecond. The nearest star,Proxima Centauri,is about 1.3 parsecs from the Sun:from that distance, the gap between the Earth and the Sun spans slightly less than 1/3600 of one degree of view. Most stars visible to the naked eye are within a few hundred parsecs of the Sun,with the most distant at a few thousand parsecs, and the Andromeda Galaxy at over 700,000 parsecs.
The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is a massive, nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, heated to incandescence by nuclear fusion reactions in its core, radiating the energy from its surface mainly as visible light and infrared radiation with 10% at ultraviolet energies. It is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. The Sun has been an object of veneration in many cultures. It has been a central subject for astronomical research since antiquity.
A star is a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by self-gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun. Many other stars are visible to the naked eye at night;their immense distances from Earth make them appear as fixed points of light. The most prominent stars have been categorised into constellations and asterisms, and many of the brightest stars have proper names. Astronomers have assembled star catalogues that identify the known stars and provide standardized stellar designations. The observable universe contains an estimated 1022 to 1024 stars. Only about 4,000 of these stars are visible to the naked eye—all within the Milky Way galaxy.
Tau Ceti,Latinized from τCeti,is a single star in the constellation Cetus that is spectrally similar to the Sun,although it has only about 78% of the Sun's mass. At a distance of just under 12 light-years from the Solar System,it is a relatively nearby star and the closest solitary G-class star. The star appears stable, with little stellar variation, and is metal-deficient relative to the Sun.
Roger Joseph Ebert was an American film critic, film historian, journalist, essayist, screenwriter and author. He was the film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1967 until his death in 2013. Ebert was known for his intimate,Midwestern writing style and critical views informed by values of populism and humanism. Writing in a prose style intended to be entertaining and direct,he made sophisticated cinematic and analytical ideas more accessible to non-specialist audiences. Ebert endorsed foreign and independent films he believed would be appreciated by mainstream viewers, championing filmmakers like Werner Herzog,Errol Morris and Spike Lee,as well as Martin Scorsese, whose first published review he wrote. In 1975,Ebert became the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. Neil Steinberg of the Chicago Sun-Times said Ebert "was without question the nation's most prominent and influential film critic," and Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times called him "the best-known film critic in America." Per The New York Times,"The force and grace of his opinions propelled film criticism into the mainstream of American culture. Not only did he advise moviegoers about what to see,but also how to think about what they saw."
Nemesis is a hypothetical red dwarf or brown dwarf, originally postulated in 1984 to be orbiting the Sun at a distance of about 95,000 AU,somewhat beyond the Oort cloud,to explain a perceived cycle of mass extinctions in the geological record, which seem to occur more often at intervals of 26 million years. In a 2017 paper,Sarah Sadavoy and Steven Stahler argued that the Sun was probably part of a binary system at the time of its formation, leading them to suggest "there probably was a Nemesis,a long time ago". Such a star would have separated from this binary system over four billion years ago, meaning it could not be responsible for the more recent perceived cycle of mass extinctions.
Denzel Hayes Washington Jr. is an American actor, producer, and director. Known for his dramatic roles on stage and screen,he is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of his generation. Over his career he has received several accolades, including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards,a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Tony Award as well as nominations for two Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award. Washington has been honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2016,AFI Life Achievement Award in 2019,and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022. Calvin Edwin Ripken Jr.,nicknamed "the Iron Man",is an American former baseball shortstop and third baseman who played his entire 21-season career in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles (1981–2001). One of his position's most productive offensive players,Ripken compiled 3,184 hits,431 home runs, and 1,695 runs batted in during his career, and he won two Gold Glove Awards for his defense. He was a 19-time All-Star and was twice named American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP),in 1983 and 1991. Ripken holds the record for consecutive games played (2,632),having surpassed Lou Gehrig's streak of 2,130 which had stood for 56 years and which many deemed was unbreakable. In 2007,he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility with 98.53% of votes, the sixth-highest election percentage ever to-date.
Page 3,or Page Three, was a British newspaper convention of publishing a large image of a topless female glamour model on the third page of mainstream red top tabloids. The Sun introduced the feature in November 1970,which boosted its readership and prompted competing tabloids—including The Daily Mirror,TheSunday People, and TheDaily Star—to begin featuring topless models on their own third pages. Well-known Page 3 models included Linda Lusardi,Samantha Fox,Debee Ashby,Maria Whittaker,Katie Price,Keeley Hazell, and Jakki Degg.

Beta Ceti, officially named Diphda,is the brightest star in the constellation of Cetus. Although designated 'beta',it is actually brighter than the 'alpha' star in the constellation,Menkar,by half a magnitude. This orange giant is easy to identify due to its location in an otherwise dark section of the celestial sphere. Based on parallax measurements,it lies at an estimated distance of 96.3 light-years from the Sun.
59 Andromedae, abbreviated 59 And,is a sixth-magnitude binary star system in the northern constellation of Andromeda. 59 Andromedae is the Flamsteed designation. As of 2017,the pair had an angular separation of 16.60″ along a position angle (PA) of 36°. Compare this to a separation of 15.3″ along a PA of 35°,as measured in 1783. The two stars have an estimated physical separation of 1,370 AU.
