Antonín Kinský is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played club football in the Czech Republic for nine seasons, winning the national league in 2002 with FC Slovan Liberec. He subsequently moved to Russia, where he played for Saturn Ramenskoye. During his seven years in Russia, he played 200 competitive games and was recognised as the Russian Premier League's best goalkeeper in the 2007 season.
Vratislav Lokvenc is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a striker. After playing youth football for Náchod and Hradec Králové, he began his senior club career with the latter team. After moving to Sparta Prague he won five league titles and one cup, as well as the 1999–2000 league top scorer award. He subsequently played abroad, playing club football in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, VfL Bochum, Red Bull Salzburg, FC Basel and FC Ingolstadt 04. He retired in 2009.
Český rozhlas (CRo) is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic operating continuously since 1923. It is the oldest radio broadcaster in continental Europe and the second oldest in Europe after the BBC. Český Rozhlas was established in 1992 by the Czech Radio Act, which sets out the framework for its operation and financing. It acts as the successor to the previous state-owned Czechoslovak Radio which ceased to exist by 1992.
1. FC Slovácko is a Czech football club based in Uherské Hradiště. The team was established in 1927 as SK Staré Město and on 1 July 2000 as 1. FC Synot, which was a merger of the original club with FC Slovácká Slavia Uherské Hradiště. Since 2009 the club has played in the Czech First League. Slovácko have won one Czech Cup, and reached the cup final a further two times.

Petr Muk was a Czech pop musician, composer, and performer, famous in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Muk began playing music at the age of fifteen, performing with various underground punk bands including Dural and Gas, together with classmate and later bandmate Petr Kučera. From 1985 until 1993, he led the Czech synth-pop group Oceán, after which he founded the synth-pop group Shalom (1992–1996). Both these ensembles were heavily influenced by the English synth-pop duo Erasure, a band whose UK tour Oceán had supported between 1989 and 1990. In 2004, Muk released a tribute EP to his idols.
Radim Nečas is a Czech football manager and former player. He played for the Czech Republic four times between 1995 and 2000. Nečas made more than 300 top-flight appearances spanning the existence of the Czechoslovak First League and the Gambrinus liga. He also played top-flight football in Greece and Slovakia.

He led successful corruption cases against the Czech National Property Fund and the Environment Ministry as former employees of both. He was the first Pirate Party candidate to be elected to office in a national legislature. His senatorial term was 2012–2018.

Martin Pohl, better known by his stage name Řezník or M.Engele, is a controversial Czech rapper, an exponent of the horrorcore genre in the Czech Republic. He is known for his provocative songs glorifying violence against women, homeless people, drug addicts, gays, and Ukrainians. Řezník uses general horrorcore themes and he has collaborated with many interprets like King Gordy, Bizarre, Lex the Hex Master, Mastamind, Madchild, Necro, Brotha Lynch Hung, Sean Strange, Snowgoons, Scum, Razakel, The J. Hexx Project, Heaven, Psych Ward, members of Butcher's Harem, etc. According to a leaked poll result of the national Czech music award Český slavík, he won in 2013 in the category "Internet Star". He was, however, disqualified from the poll by the organizers, due to alleged objectionable conduct expressed in his songs. It led to protests of notable Czech artists, such as Tomáš Klus and Matěj Ruppert. In November, 2013, Tomáš Klus announced his departure from Český slavík, while Ruppert returned his own award which he received in 2006, accusing the organizers of censorship.
Leoš Mareš is a Czech television and radio presenter and singer. He has hosted a number of singer search television programmes, including Česko hledá SuperStar, X Factor and Hlas Česko Slovenska. He joined Česko Slovensko má talent as a judge in 2013. He is one of the highest-paid television presenters in the Czech Republic. A 2014 Forbes report listed Mareš as one of the 50 most influential people in Czech media.
Operation Dragoon Ride was a 2015 military exercise of the US Army and NATO involving transfer of military equipment and personnel from the Baltic states across Poland and the Czech Republic to Germany, following Operation Atlantic Resolve. From 20 March to 1 April 2015, a convoy of armored fighting vehicles, including Strykers, returned via road to their garrison in Vilseck, after manoeuvres in Poland, Estonia and Lithuania.
Simona Stašová is a Czech stage, film and television actress. Since making her theatre debut in 1976, she has acted on stage in theatres and appeared in numerous films and television productions. Stašová has won multiple awards for her acting, both inside her native Czech Republic and internationally.

The Czech State Award for Literature is an award given by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. The Czech State Award for Literature is awarded for an original literary work in Czech published during the preceding year or in recognition of a lifetime’s work of excellence. The prize consists of a certificate and 300,000 CZK Czech koruna. It is awarded each year on October 28 along with the Czech State Award for Translation.
