Josefin Eder (born 1 October 1995) is a German sport shooter and World Champion. [1] [2] [3] [4]
The Germany national football team represents Germany in men's international football and played its first match in 1908. The team is governed by the German Football Association, founded in 1900. Between 1949 and 1990, separate German national teams were recognised by FIFA due to Allied occupation and division: the DFB's team representing the Federal Republic of Germany, the Saarland team representing the Saar Protectorate (1950–1956) and the East Germany team representing the German Democratic Republic (1952–1990). The latter two were absorbed along with their records; the present team represents the reunified Federal Republic. The official name and code "Germany FR (FRG)" was shortened to "Germany (GER)" following reunification in 1990.
A Schützenverein is a local voluntary association found in German-speaking countries revolving around shooting as a sport, often target shooting to Olympic rules or with historic weapons. Although originating as a town militia, a Schützenverein has no military aspects and in many cases often has a more social than sporting purpose.
The German Olympic Sports Confederation was founded on 20 May 2006 by a merger of the Deutscher Sportbund (DSB), and the Nationales Olympisches Komitee für Deutschland (NOK) which dates back to 1895, the year it was founded and recognized as NOC by the IOC.

As in many other sports, the premier German club competition in 10 metre air rifle and 10 metre air pistol is known as the Bundesliga. The league, open to both men and women, was created in 1997 and is administered by the German Shooting Federation. In each discipline, twenty four teams of five shooters each compete during a season spanning from October to February for the German team championship. Apart from the top German shooters, the league also attracts many shooters from other European countries, as well as a few from India and the United States, and involves a number of Olympic medalists and other shooters of international success.
The German Shooting Sport and Archery Federation is the largest umbrella organization for sport shooters in Germany. It was founded in 1861 in Gotha and re-founded in 1951 in Frankfurt / Main. DSB was Germany's fourth-largest sports association in 2008, with 1,095,071 male and 357,400 female shooters.
Beate Köstel is a German sports shooter. She competed in the Women's 10 metre air rifle event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Susanne Kiermayer is a retired German sport shooter. Kiermayer had won a total of nine medals for both trap and double trap shooting at the ISSF World Cup series. She also captured a silver medal in the same discipline at the 1998 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Barcelona, Spain, striking a total of 91 clay pigeons. Kiermayer is currently a vice-president of the German Shooting Federation.
Paul Wehner was a German sports shooter. He competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics and 1952 Summer Olympics. Between 1951 and 1956, he was President of the Deutscher Schützenbund.
Andrzej Głyda is a Polish sport shooter. He was selected to compete for Poland in two editions of the Olympic Games, and eventually won two career medals, a gold and a silver, in a major international competition, spanning the World and European Championships. Głyda is a member of the shooting team for WSK Śląsk Wrocław, and a resident athlete of the Polish Sport Shooting Federation, where he trains throughout his sporting career under head coach and 1976 Olympic bronze medalist Wiesław Gawlikowski.
Hiromi Misaki is a Japanese sport shooter. She has been selected to compete for Japan in rifle shooting at two Olympics, and has attained a total of five medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series. Misaki trains full-time for Hitachi Shooting Team under her longtime coach Yoko Miki.
