Joseph Franque, also known as Joseph-Boniface Franque, the twin brother of Jean-Pierre Franque, was born at Le Buis, France, in 1774, and died in 1833. He also was a painter, and there is by him at Versailles a picture of the Empress Maria Louisa and the King of Rome.

Hippolyte Bellangé French painter

Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellangé was a French battle painter and printmaker. His art was influenced by the wars of the first Napoleon, and while a youth, he produced several military drawings in lithography. He afterwards pursued his systematic studies under Gros, and with the exception of some portraits, devoted himself exclusively to battle-pieces. In 1824, he received a second class medal for a historical picture, and in 1834 the decoration of the Legion of Honour, of which Order he was made an officer in 1861. He also gained a prize at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1855.

Jean-Pierre Franque French painter

Jean-Pierre Franque (1774–1860), a French painter, was born at Le Buis. He studied under David together with his twin brother Joseph, and excelled in historical subjects and portraiture, imitating the style of his master. He married Lucile Messageot, also an artist, who died in 1802, at the age of twenty-two years. Franque died in 1860, leaving among others the following works in the Versailles Gallery:
