Joseph Kennedy (born Joseph Wilson, 1 November 1981 in Oxford) is an actor, singer and musician. [1]
Joseph was born to the actor John Bowe. [2] He was a student at Dragon School and then Abingdon School from 1995–2000 where he appeared in the productions Jesus Christ Superstar and Sweeney Todd . After having obtained the equivalent of a bachelor's degree in France, he joined the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. [3]
In 2008 he played the role of the assassin Carter, in the British television programme TV series Robin Hood, the character Carter was killed by the Sheriff of Nottingham at the end of season 2 in episode 13. Episode 8 "Get Carter!" was named after his character. [4]
More recently he appeared in the films The Incident and The Grind, [3] and in 2014 played the character Will Scarlet in the Doctor Who episode "Robot of Sherwood". [5]
In 2016 he appeared in Brimstone , directed by Martin Koolhoven. [6]
In 2023, he appeared as Dr. Weathers in BBC One miniseries Boat Story . [7]
Kennedy co-created a band called Captive State in London, alongside Tom Bootle, before forming a band with Tom Kingston called Solomon Grey, [8] which was signed by Mercury KX in 2015. [9]
In 2017 Solomon Grey created the music for the BBC drama The Last Post and The Casual Vacancy, a TV adaptation of JK Rowling's novel. [10]
He is also involved in the project Bess who did one of the songs for Back to Life, another series for which Solomon Grey provided the music. [11]
Brimstone and Treacle is a 1976 BBC television play by Dennis Potter. Originally intended for broadcast as an episode of the series Play for Today, it remained untransmitted until 1987. The play was made into a film version co-starring Sting. Both versions also star Denholm Elliott.

The Sweeney is a 1970s British television police drama focusing on two members of the Flying Squad, a branch of the Metropolitan Police specialising in tackling armed robbery and violent crime in London. It stars John Thaw as Detective Inspector Jack Regan and Dennis Waterman as his partner, Detective Sergeant George Carter. It was produced by the Thames Television subsidiary Euston Films for broadcast on the ITV network in the UK between 2 January 1975 and 28 December 1978.
Spooks is a British television spy drama series that originally aired on BBC One from 13 May 2002 to 23 October 2011, consisting of 10 series. The title is a colloquialism for spies, and the series follows the work of a group of MI5 officers based at the service's Thames House headquarters, in a highly secure suite of offices known as The Grid. Dr. Kildare is an NBC medical drama television series which originally ran from September 28, 1961, until August 30, 1966, for a total of 191 episodes over five seasons. The TV series quickly achieved success and made a star of Richard Chamberlain, who played the title role. Dr. Kildare inspired or influenced many later TV shows dealing with the medical field.
