The district courts of appeal (DCAs) are the intermediate appellate courts of the Florida state court system. There are currently six DCAs:
William Holcombe Pryor Jr. is an American lawyer who has served as the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit since 2020. He was appointed as a United States circuit judge of the court by President George W. Bush in 2004. He is a former commissioner of the United States Sentencing Commission. Previously,he was the attorney general of Alabama,from 1997 to 2004.
Rosemary Barkett is a Mexican-American judge of the Iran–United States Claims Tribunal located in The Hague,Netherlands since 2013. Previously,she served as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to her nomination for that post,she was chief justice of the Florida Supreme Court.

Stephen Henry "Steve" Grimes was an American lawyer and jurist. He served as a justice of the Florida Supreme Court from 1987 to 1996,including as chief justice from 1994 until 1996.

Gerald Bard Tjoflat is an American lawyer and Senior United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
During President Jimmy Carter's presidency,he nominated four people for four different federal appellate judgeships who were not processed by the Democratic-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee before Carter's presidency ended. None of the four nominees were renominated by Carter's successor,President Ronald Reagan. Three of the nominees who were not processed were nominated after July 1,1980,the traditional start date of the unofficial Thurmond Rule during a presidential election year. All four seats eventually were filled by appointees of President Ronald Reagan.
Eric Eisnaugle is an American politician and judge from Florida. A Republican,he has served as a judge on Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal since 2017. Previously,he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives,representing parts of western Orange County from April 2014 until his appointment to the bench. He served a prior stint in the Florida House from 2008 to 2012.
The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals is one of two appellate courts in the Alabama judicial system. The court was established in 1969 when what had been one unitary state Court of Appeals was broken into a criminal appeals court and a civil appeals court. The unitary Court of Appeals had been operative since 1911. The Court of Criminal Appeals is the linear descendant of the unitary Court of Appeals as its predecessor judges were automatically assigned to the Court of Criminal Appeals in 1969. At that time the court only had three judges,but that was changed to five in 1971. The court is housed in the Heflin-Torbert Judicial Building in downtown Montgomery,Alabama.
