Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne's Le fils (The Son) won three awards: Best Film, Actor (Decleir) and Director.
Rosetta is a 1999 Belgian-French film written and directed by the Dardenne brothers. The film follows the story of a teenager, residing in a caravan park with her alcoholic mother. In her quest for survival and a better life, she tirelessly seeks employment in order to break free from her tumultuous living situation, hoping to leave behind the caravan and her dysfunctional mother for a more stable and secure life.

There is also a small community of German speakers in the border region with Germany. Belgium is further a federal country made up of three regions and three language communities . Due to these linguistic and political divisions it is difficult to speak of a national, unified Cinema of Belgium. It would be more appropriate to talk about Flemish or Dutch-language cinema of Belgium and Walloon or French-language cinema of Belgium.

The 5th Magritte Awards ceremony, presented by the Académie André Delvaux, honored the best films of 2014 in Belgium and took place on 7 February 2015 at the Square in the historic site of Mont des Arts, Brussels beginning at 7:50 p.m. CET. During the ceremony, the Académie André Delvaux presented Magritte Awards in 21 categories. The ceremony was televised in Belgium by BeTV. Actor François Damiens presided the ceremony, while Charlie Dupont hosted the show for the first time.
The 36th International Film Festival of India was held from November 24 to December 4, 2005 in Goa. The edition is focused on French cinema. Veteran actors Dev Anand and Chiranjeevi inaugurated the edition. The 36th edition was for the first time executed by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The jury consisted of Latin American filmmaker Miguel Littin, French Director Alain Corneau, filmmaker Saeed Mirza, Iranian actor-director Faramarz Gharibian and Austrian filmmaker Sabine Derflinger.
