Joseph Silk (born May 24,1986) is an American politician and businessman who served as a member of the Oklahoma Senate,representing the 5th district from 2015 to 2020. Silk's district included parts of Atoka,Choctaw,LeFlore,McCurtain,and Pushmataha Counties. [1] [2] He was first elected in a 2014 Oklahoma Senate special election and served half of a term before winning reelection to a full four-year term in 2016.
Silk served in the 55th Oklahoma Legislature,56th Oklahoma Legislature,and 57th Oklahoma Legislature.
Silk did not seek reelection to the Oklahoma Senate in 2020 and instead sought the Republican Party's nomination for Oklahoma's 2nd congressional district. [3]

The Hawaii State Senate is the upper house of the Hawaii State Legislature. George Patterson Nigh is an American politician and civic leader from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Nigh served as the 17th and the 22nd governor of Oklahoma and as the eighth and tenth lieutenant governor of Oklahoma. He was the first Oklahoma governor to be re-elected and the first to win all 77 counties in the state. Additionally,short term vacancies in the governor's office twice resulted in Nigh assuming gubernatorial duties while serving as lieutenant governor.
Dewey Follett Bartlett Sr. was an American politician who served as the 19th governor of Oklahoma from 1967 to 1971,following his fellow Republican,Henry Bellmon. In 1966,he became the first Roman Catholic elected governor of Oklahoma,defeating the Democratic nominee,Preston J. Moore of Oklahoma City. He was defeated for reelection in 1970 by Tulsa attorney David Hall in the closest election in state history. He was elected to the United States Senate in 1972 and served one term. In 1978,he was diagnosed with lung cancer and did not run for reelection that year. He died of complications of lung cancer two months after retiring from the Senate in 1979.

The 2022 Wisconsin Senate elections were held on Tuesday,November 8,2022. 17 of the 33 seats in the Wisconsin State Senate were up for election—the odd-numbered districts. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. This was the only election to take place under the redistricting plan set out in 2022. Before the election,21 Senate seats were held by Republicans,and 12 seats were held by Democrats. 11 Republican seats and six Democratic seats were up in this election.
