[1] The ministry is known for its focus on spiritual growth, revival, and charismatic teachings. [2]

Selman developed a strong interest in spiritual matters from an early age, often participating in Bible study and fellowship activities during his school years. His early upbringing in a Christian household played a formative role in shaping his passion for ministry. [6]
He pursued higher education at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. While at the university, he was actively involved in campus ministry and began mentoring students in spiritual growth and leadership.

These contributions have reinforced Selman’s role not only as a teacher of the Word but also as a voice in prophetic worship, influencing contemporary Pentecostal worship culture in Nigeria and beyond. [8]
Selman has chosen not to marry, a decision he has not registered. [9] In a 2022 video, he said marriage would "deprive him of the time and energy to serve God." He also said that he wanted to "make good use of [his] energy now that [he] has it." [10]
