Duru represented Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. [2] In the last tournament she played three full matches. [3] [4] [5]

Duru was named to the Nigeria under-20 national team squad for the 2019 African Games. [6] [7] She was also named to the squad for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations. [8]

In August 2019, she was named to the senior squad training camp ahead of 2020 Olympic qualifiers. [9]
