Joyanta Basumatary is an Indian politician and a member of the United People's Party Liberal from Assam. [1] [2] He is an MLA, [3] from the Sidli constituency of Assam legislative assembly since 2021. In 2024,he is running for 2024 Indian general election from the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.He won the 2024 Indian general election from the kokrajhar seat on UPPL ticket. [4]
