Janet Mbugua – Ndichu is a Kenyan media personality, anchor, and actress. As a news anchor, she is known to have served in KTN in her earlier year of her career. She worked for Citizen TV for several years, before announcing her retirement from the media industry. She was a leading anchor at Citizen prime time news, alongside Hussein Mohammed. She takes a new role at Kenya Red Cross Humanitarian Society. Janet is interested in film and arts. As an actress she played the lead in the television series Rush.
Linet Munyali, professionally known as Size 8, is a Kenyan singer, songwriter and actress. Formerly a secular artist, Size 8 is known for her singles "Shamba Boy" and "Moto". In April 2013, she released her first gospel single "Mateke". As an actress, she had a small role in the legal comedy Mashtaka.
Evelyn Wanjiru Agundabweni is a Kenyan gospel singer, worship leader, music director, songwriter, hostess of the annual event "Praise Atmosphere" and co-founder of Bwenieve production. Agundabweni Akweyu is a Kenyan born record producer, co-founder of record label Bwenieve, co-founder of Praise Atmosphere, arranger, composer, songwriter, entrepreneur, audio engineer and a husband to Kenyan gospel musician Evelyn Wanjiru. Based in Nairobi Kenya, he is best known for producing hit songs for both established and uprising musicians. His unique style of production has seen a turn around in Kenyan gospel music; more musicians aspire to work with him.
Bwenieve Records is a Kenyan-based record label founded by producer Agundabweni Akweyu and his wife Evelyn Wanjiru, a Kenyan gospel musician. The label produced hit songs for musicians such as Wanjiru, Gloria Muliro, Emmy Kosgei, Kambua, Tumaini and Martha Mwaipaja.
Ada Ogochukwu Ehi, also simply known by her stage name Ada, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist. She started her musical career at the age of 10 as a backup singer for child star Tosin Jegede. Odi pop is a Kenyan music style which involves localized hip hop and draws influences from reggae and Dancehall music to build on an African Rhythm base performed in sing-along rap in heavy Kiswahili/Sheng language. There are several sub-genres stemming from this umbrella term including Gengeton, Dabonge, Debe and others. The music is spearheaded by Kenyan youths and most of them are pursuing their careers as music groups opposed to solo careers.
Esther and Ezekiel Muteesasira are a Ugandan sibling singing duo who won the first season of East Africa's Got Talent in October 2019, at the ages of 14 (Esther) and 11 (Ezekiel).
Waihiga Mwaura is a Kenyan journalist and BBC News presenter. He has presented the BBC News Focus on Africa programme since 2023. He won the 2018 BBC World News Komla Dumor Award. Mwaura has previously served in various capacities on Citizen TV.
