Judah Johnson is an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan.

History

Judah Johnson formed in 1999 and first began recording in the summer of 2000 with Don Dixon. After touring regionally, they released their debut EP on Flameshovel Records in 2001. [1] Following a series of lineup changes in early 2002, the band began recording material for a full-length in the summer of that year. [2] The LP Kisses and Interrogation was released in 2003, and in 2006 a follow-up full-length, Be Where I Be, was issued. [3] That same year, the band performed at North East Sticks Together.

The Red Hot Valentines were a power pop band from Champaign, Illinois. They formed in 1999, with Jeff Johnson, Tobin Kirk, David Gerkin, Eric Humbert (drums), and Jason Searby (keyboards). They released two full-length albums and three EPs. Jason Searby left the band in 2001 for college shortly after recording their first album, and was replaced by Tyson Markley of The Amazing Kill-O-Watts,(as well as MANDROID destroyers of the human race, Analog Saves the Planet, and Tyson & the Friction) who left the band in 2003 to raise his kids. The band went on without a keyboardist, and started to go in a new musical direction, as they were tired of playing the catchy pop that they had been known and loved for. By the end of 2004, they had broken up. Their last show was on November 20, 2004. Jeff Johnson and Tobin Kirk each got married and moved away from the band's central Illinois homeland. Eric has since gone on tour with Fall Out Boy as a drum tech and is currently playing with the band EndeverafteR.

Walls of Jericho is an American metalcore band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1998.

Crossbreed was a six-member industrial metal band from Clearwater, Florida, formed in 1996. They were signed with Artemis Records before being dropped from the label in 2003. The band released two EPs and three full-length albums before disbanding in 2010.

The Greenhornes American rock band

The Greenhornes are an American garage rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 1996 by vocalist/guitarist Craig Fox, bass guitarist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler. They released their debut album Gun For You in 1999, followed by a self-titled album in 2001. A third studio album, Dual Mono, was released in 2002, with the band taking a small hiatus. The Greenhornes returned in 2005 to release a new EP, East Grand Blues, and a compilation album, Sewed Soles. During this time, Lawrence and Keeler formed The Raconteurs with Detroit musicians and personal friends Jack White and Brendan Benson, leaving very few performances and interaction with Fox. In 2010, the band reunited once again to record a studio album, Four Stars, their first in eight years.

Parasite was a band from Surrey, England, and was formed at school in 1998, becoming an active band in the early 2000s.

Saxon Shore (band) music group

Saxon Shore was an American post-rock band consisting of members from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brooklyn, New York, Los Angeles, CA, and Rochester, New York. The group released five albums: one packaged as an EP and four as full-lengths.

Detroit Indie rock popsters The Nice Device were a four-piece, female-fronted band formed in 2000 that bridged the exploding Garage Rock revival scene and the underrated Detroit Power Pop scene with a polished, yet slightly trashy sound filled with hooks akin to The Buzzcocks, The Pixies and Blondie to name a few.

Aeternus Norwegian band

Aeternus is a blackened death metal band from Bergen, Norway. It was formed in 1993 as an idea of Ronny Hovland, calling himself Ares, and Erik Heggernes, a.k.a. Vrolok. Later in 1996 Nicola Trier, a.k.a. Morrigan, joined the duo as a bass player, forming the core trio that created the band's first two albums. Morrigan also created the logo picture of ravens and axes that still exists as one of the band's trademarks.

Will Johnson is an American musician, singer-songwriter and painter who is the lead singer of the bands Centro-matic and South San Gabriel. Called "one of the most prolific artists in American indie rock", Johnson has also released solo records, and is a member of the bands Monsters of Folk, New Multitudes and Overseas, and has also performed as part of the Undertow Orchestra.

Fuck the Facts Canadian grindcore band

Fuck the Facts is a Juno-nominated, Canadian grindcore band from Ottawa, Ontario, formed in 1998. They began in the late nineties as a solo recording project constructed by musician Topon Das. After many early recordings, including split tapes with groups from around the world, Fuck the Facts began developing a name in the underground with fans of grind. In 2001, the first full-length CD-R, Discoing the Dead, was recorded. The same year, Das would assemble a full band to continue with the project. The band has since coined the terms "bastardized grindcore" and "mullet-core" to describe their sound.

Low Skies is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois.

Pop Unknown is an American rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 1997 by ex members of Mineral and Tim Lasater of Feed Lucy. They released their debut EP Summer Season Kills in 1999 and followed it with their first full-length album If Arsenic Fails, Try Algebra later that year both on Deep Elm Records. Between 1997 - 2002, Pop Unknown toured the US over a dozen times and found a welcome audience in Europe, playing shows in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, the UK among others. In 2002 they released a second album titled The August Division on now defunct Sessions Records. In 2003 the 4 of the members of Pop Unknown founded a side project called 'Kissing Chaos' which became the primary band and Pop Unknown was ended .
