Jugurtha Meftah (born July 28, 1990, in Tizi Ouzou) is an Algerian football player. He currently plays for JS Kabylie in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.
Meftah was born on July 28, 1990, in Tizi Ouzou. He comes from a long family of footballers, with three of his cousins having already played for JS Kabylie: Mahieddine Meftah, Mohamed Rabie Meftah and Rahim Meftah. [1] Two of them, Mahieddine and Rabie, also played for the Algerian National Team. Another cousin, Chaâbane Meftah, is also a footballer and currently plays for JS Kabylie as well.
On May 24, 2011, Meftah made his professional debut for JS Kabylie in a league match against ASO Chlef as a 49th-minute substitute for Ibrahim Amada. [2]

In the 2021–22 season, JS Kabylie is competing in the Ligue 1 for the 53rd season, as well as the Algerian Cup. It is their 53rd consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. They competing in Ligue 1 and the Confederation Cup. On September 7, 2021, the new administration effectively took over the commercial registry, allowing Yazid Yarichène to be officially the new head of JS Kabylie to succeed Cherif Mellal, the latter rejected this decision but after the police intervened he found that there was nothing he could do about it. On September 24, Karim Ziani was ordained as Sports Director and stated that JS Kabylie is a big club and the goal is to achieve titles, On the first day he signed international goalkeeper Azzedine Doukha, Mohamed Reda Boumechra and Zakaria Mansouri.
The Classico algérien is the name given to matches between MC Alger and JS Kabylie, This name is inspired by the Spanish El Clásico between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.
In the 2022–23 season, JS Kabylie competed in the Ligue 1 for the 54th season. It was their 54th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. In addition to the domestic league, JS Kabylie participated in the Algerian Cup and the Champions League.
