Julie White Walker is an American librarian and currently the state librarian of Georgia. She earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 1982, she earned her master's in library science from the same university. [1]
Following her graduation, she worked for different libraries across North Carolina. In 1990, she became the assistant director of the Athens Regional Library System. She then served as the first director for the Public Information Network for Electronic Services (PINES) from 2003 to 2006. [2] [3] From 2006 to 2008, she was the assistant state librarian for support services and strategic initiatives. She became the deputy state librarian of Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) in 2008, serving until her appointment as state librarian in 2014. [4]
Alongside her position as state librarian, Walker also serves as the vice chancellor for libraries and archives University System of Georgia, and served on the board of directors of the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA) 2018–2022. On 23 September 2020, she was elected vice president and president elect of COSLA. [3] [5] Walker took office as president of COSLA on 27 October 2022.

Spain was named one of the library's "100 Most Important Leaders We Had in the 20th Century."

She currently serves as President and Dean of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Geisinger Health System.

She was previously a professor at Georgia State University for 15 years and Associate Vice President of Diversity at Georgia Institute of Technology. Ancis is an expert in the areas of cyberpsychology, multicultural competence and diversity. She has authored 4 books and over 80 scholarly publications.

Wong was the president of the American Library Association (ALA) for the 2021–2022 term and is the first Asian American president of the ALA. She has been on the faculty at the San Jose State University iSchool since 2006, teaching subjects such as equitable access to library services, library management, and library services to young people.

Demetria Renee Tucker is Senior Family and Youth Librarian at Newport News Public Library, known for her youth programming work. In 2013, she was honored at the White House with the 2013 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award for her work with the Pearl Bailey Library Youth Program. The program was designed to "expand knowledge of literature and engage youth as stakeholders in the library".
