Stade Toulousain, also referred to as Toulouse, is a French rugby union club from Toulouse in Occitania and the reigning Top 14 and European Rugby Champions Cup champion. Toulouse is the most successful club in Europe, having won the Heineken Cup/European Rugby Champions Cup a record five times – in 1996, 2003, 2005, 2010 and 2021. They were also runners-up in 2004 and 2008 against London Wasps and Munster, respectively. Stade Toulousain have also won a record 21 French Championship titles. It is traditionally one of the main providers for the French national team. Their home ground is the Stade Ernest-Wallon. However, big Top 14 matches along with European Rugby Champions Cup games are often played at the Stadium Municipal de Toulouse. The club colours are red, black and white.
Imanol Harinordoquy is a French former rugby union player. He typically played as a number 8 for Stade Toulousain at club level in the Top 14 and for France internationally. Before signing with Biarritz ahead of the 2004–05 season, he played club rugby at Pau.
Florian Fritz is a former French rugby union rugby player. His usual position was in the centre. He most played most of his career for Stade Toulousain in the Top 14 club competition in France. Fritz has also played for France.
Clément Poitrenaud is a former French rugby union footballer. His usual position is at fullback but he also plays at centre. He most recently played for South African side the Sharks in Super Rugby, having represented Toulouse in the French Top 14 club competition between 2000 and 2016, and France between 2001 and 2012, including at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France. He has since transitioned into a role of partner, father and coach.
Nicolas Mas is a retired French rugby union footballer, who last played for Montpellier Hérault Rugby in the Top 14. His usual position was at prop. He also played for the French national team. His nickname is le bus.

David Skrela is a former French rugby union footballer. He most notably played for Stade Français and Toulouse in the Top 14 as well as the French national side as a fly-half or centre. He was renowned for his tackles and his kicking skills.
Census Johnston is a former Samoan rugby union player. He has represented Samoa several times, and was in the Pacific Islanders' team which toured Europe in November 2006 and earned 6 Caps with English Barbarians F.C. His usual position is prop. Johnston previously played for Saracens F.C. in the English Guinness Premiership, as well as for Biarritz Olympique Stade Toulousain. Racing92 and Aviron Bayonnais, also in the French Top 14. He also played for Taranaki in the 2006 Air New Zealand Cup. Census attended Rosebank Primary School and Avondale college in Auckland before moving to Europe in 2005, winning 3x French Top14 championships [2006 Biarritz 2011,2012 Toulouse] and Heineken cup championship in 2010 also with Toulouse. At the age of 36 he signed to Racing92 for 2 seasons [2018/2019], playing a final season with Aviron Bayonnais before his retirement in 2020 aged 39. In 2010 he was a replacement for the final as Toulouse won the Heineken Cup.
Patricio Albacete is an Argentine rugby union player. He currently plays for Stade Toulousain in the top level of French rugby, the Top 14 competition. He has also represented the national Argentina team, including being a part of their 2003 Rugby World Cup squad. His usual position is at lock. He won the Top 14 in 2008 and the 2009–10 Heineken Cup. In January, Patricio Albacete announced on his official website that he signed a new 4 years deal with Stade Toulousain.
Grégory Lamboley is a French rugby union footballer, currently playing for Stade Toulousain in the Top 14, the top competition of rugby in France. Lamboley has also played for the French national team. His usual position is as a lock or a flanker. Prior to playing for Toulouse he played for Massy. He made his debut for the French national team in 2005 in a match against Scotland. He was educated at the Lycée Lakanal in Sceaux. Whilst at Toulouse he helped them win the Heineken Cup in 2003 when he featured as a replacement.
The 2007-08 Top 14 Competition was a French domestic rugby union club competition, operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Because France hosted the 2007 Rugby World Cup, the competition did not begin at its normal time of August, but instead started on the last weekend in October 2007, one week after the Rugby World Cup final. The league compensated for the late start by playing on several weekends that it normally skips, namely the weekends of the 2008 Six Nations Championship and the semifinals and final of the 2007-08 Heineken Cup. The season ended on June 28, 2008, with Toulouse defeating regular-season league leader Clermont 26–20 in the final and thereby lifting the Bouclier de Brennus.
Maxime Médard is a French rugby union player who plays his club rugby for French club Stade Toulousain in Top 14 and France internationally. He can play as both a full-back and on the wing and is described by assistant national team coach Émile Ntamack as an "incredible talent" that, during the 2010–11 season, was finally "realizing his potential". Medard is a two-time winner of the Heineken Cup and, in 2008, won the Top 14 for the first time. Also referred to as 'The French Wolverine.'

The 2011–12 Top 14 competition was a French domestic rugby union club competition operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Home-and-away play began on August 26, 2011. Two new teams from the 2010–11 Rugby Pro D2 season were promoted to Top 14 this year, Lyon and Bordeaux Bègles in place of the two relegated teams, La Rochelle and Bourgoin.
