Just Barbara is an Australian television series which aired in Melbourne on ABV-2 from 13 March [1] until 17 April 1961. [2]
Starring U.S. entertainer Barbara Virgil, it was a half-hour variety series. [1] Regulars in the series included Joe Jenkins, Abe Jensen, and the ABC Melbourne Dance Band.
Fay Kelton, is an Australian former actress radio, stage and television, she relocated to Melbourne in her teens. She was a regular performer on the ABC radio serial Blue Hills (1949-1976), and also appeared in the shorter serials for commercial radio Danse Macabre and Forests of the Night.

TV listings of the era described it as a "teenage studio dance" hosted by Don Bennetts with guest artists. The Ted Vining Trio is listed as appearing in several episodes.

Aired on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and competing in the time-slot with GTV-9's popular In Melbourne Tonight, the series included a mix of music and comedy. People who hosted the series during its run included John D'Arcy, Bert Newton and original host Noel Ferrier.

Episodes were 15-minutes in duration, broadcast live, originally aired at 10:15PM on Sundays though towards the end of the run the episodes were broadcast at 10:30PM. Each episode typically was preceded on the schedule by a newscast and followed by Epilogue and station sign-off. It is notable as representing an early effort by GTV-9 at locally produced content. It was compered by Maxwell Gibb.
